Biden's Back With Bad Answers on Border, Short Stairs, and More Confusion

Joe Biden has spent the past week in St. Croix.

He's been largely silent while he was there except for a brief statement about his New Year's resolution, which was just about his own pleasure — to go back to St. Croix next year — and doing a brief softball interview with Ryan Seacrest for the New Year where he spoke about eating chicken parmigiana and ice cream.

Meanwhile, Americans are still being held hostage by Hamas, and the border had its worst month ever, with more than 300,000 illegal aliens pouring across. And that's just the known border encounters, not counting the people that they don't find.

Ali Bradley of News Nation noted:

RECORD HIGH ENCOUNTER NUMBERS AT SOUTHERN BORDER: CBP sources confirm we hit 302k+ migrant encounters for the month of December. This is the highest monthly total on record--The previous high was September 2023 when 269,735 encounters were recorded.

Yet Biden and his team have continued to claim the border is "secure."

How do you deal with an administration that refuses to do its constitutional duty to defend the nation and doesn't tell the truth about reality?

Biden took no questions when he finally left St. Croix on Tuesday to head back to Washington, D.C. It was a very slow ascent up the short stairs.

Once he got up the stairs, he appeared confused about which way to go and then started up more stairs inside the plane. That's pretty funny that they try to reduce the stairs that we can see him having problems with, but there are still stairs.

When Biden finally got back, he looked about a hundred years old as he shuffled across the South Lawn toward the White House. Reporters asked him about the bad news of the latest numbers at the border.

When it finally registered with him what they were asking, Biden's response was incredibly weak and contradicted his team's prior ridiculous claim about the border being secure. He probably hadn't been briefed on what to say and didn't have any note cards. First, he said, "Well, we gotta do something."

Then he followed that up by saying, "They oughtta give me the money I need to protect the border."

That takes some nerve. He has his folks constantly saying the border is secure despite the fact it isn't. Now he admits it isn't secure but then tries to blame the Republicans in Congress when it's been the Republicans who have been the ones demanding the border be secured.

It's also a typical Democratic answer: Give me money — when the answer isn't money, the answer is to enforce the law. The Democrats always demand you give them money, but then they never fix anything; they only make things worse.

But the problem is that Biden ripped apart everything that former President Donald Trump had put in place that was working, and that's all on him, not Republicans.
