Allen West speaks to bloggers at CPAC ’11

The highlight of my day at CPAC (and I’d guess many other bloggers would share that opinion).

Before giving the keynote speech, Rep. Allen West (FL-22) stopped in to talk about diversity within the GOP, the GOProud controversy, the Middle East, libertarianism, the Congressional Black Caucus, motorcycles, defense spending cuts and more.

      what a brain for details! i must say i am quite impressed.
      BUT
      he stopped short of endorsing the fair tax.
      he did not mention selective shutdown.
      he did not mention specific legislative initiatives
      he did not mention defunding planned parenthood
      but he is a hell of a cheer leader!

      This man (and I don’t use the temr lightly) is one to be reckoned with. The more we can support Congressman West, the better. He is, undoubtedly, a true Patriot.

    Because… Liberty is never free. It continuously demands due diligence and great sacrifice of the other two Founding principles, or it will be lost. Even then, and only by the Grace of God, will we be allowed to keep it.

    Allen West speaking of his membership in the Congressional Black Caucus. The guy is, again, just plain “awesome”. I would love to travel the country with Chris Christie and Allen West (no ordering implied, just alphabetic order) on a Presidential election campaign. These two gentlemen can just tell it how it is. Watch the replay of West’s CPAC Keynote tonight at 10:15 on CSPAN (this is what I was told regarding the CSPAN schedule.)

    Just go to CPAC website and register with an email address. You can see all of the last 2 years of speeches. Not only this years West keynote, but watch last year’s West speech: the one that got him the keynote invite.

    I still think there is no one else in congress who has the balls that LTC West does. Joining the black caucus just to be a thorn in their side and challenging His opponent and the sitting president to a debate at the same time. The Guy is truly fearless and courageous. maybe he needs to challenge Senator Nelson.
