Leaders Who Despise Their Own People

Not since President James Buchanan left America open to secession and civil war in the late 1850s has America suffered a leader so determined to undermine our fundamental interests.(HT: David “Spengler” Goldman)

It was a gala affair on the White House Lawn. The POTUS and The President of Mexico stood behind the podium and delivered addresses of mutual friendship and good will. It seems the two men and their governing apparatuses had something in common to strengthen their bond. They each detested the fact that Arizona had passed legislation requiring that their state law enforcement officials assist in enforcing federal statutes on illegal immigration.

President Obama offered his own assessment. He promised the President of Mexico that Arizona would be in his administration’s cross-hairs. Barack Obama addresses Arizona in the manner most US Presidents reserve for North Korea below.

And I want everyone, American and Mexican, to know my administration is taking a very close look at the Arizona law. We’re examining any implications, especially for civil rights. Because in the United States of America, no law-abiding person — be they an American citizen, a legal immigrant, or a visitor or tourist from Mexico — should ever be subject to suspicion simply because of what they look like.(HT: National Review)

President Calderon, a foreign leader welcomed to our soil for a diplomatic visit, appears to have left any vestige of diplomatic courtesy back home in Ciudad de Mexico. He tells the US how it should administer its laws under its Constitution below.

But we will retain our firm rejection to criminalize migration so that people that work and provide things to this nation will be treated as criminals. And we oppose firmly the S.B. 1070 Arizona law given its principles that are partial and discriminatory.

Had the Democrats been content to thank him for his advice and limousine his butt out of town, President Calderon’s self-serving hypocrisy could be tolerated without a single rousing chorus about the Halls of Montezuma. But Democrats always economize when given the opportunity to get in a cheap shot. The Democratic members of The House of Representatives applauded. They applauded a foreign leader, coming on to our nation’s soil, and accusing the government of one of our states of racism.

This was vile. This was despicable. Perhaps the Arizona State legislature looked to Mexico for inspiration when writing their anti-immigration laws. The AP describes the primitive, bigoted, xenophobic natavism rampant in Mexican immigration laws below.

At present, Article 67 of Mexico’s Population Law says, “Authorities, whether federal, state or municipal … are required to demand that foreigners prove their legal presence in the country, before attending to any issues.” (HT: The Associated Press).

So, if a woman gets raped and forced into prostitution in Mexico, the authorities will worry; once she produces her papers. Rupert Knox, an Amnesty International researcher who specializes in Mexico describes how much fun it is to migrate through Mexico.

“Migrants in Mexico are facing a major human rights crisis leaving them with virtually no access to justice, fearing reprisals and deportation if they complain of abuses,” Knox said. Central American migrants are frequently pulled off trains, kidnapped en masse, held at gang hideouts and forced to call relatives in the U.S. to pay off the kidnappers. Such kidnappings affect thousands of migrants each year in Mexico, the report says. Many are beaten, raped or killed in the process.

With all that in mind, I’m relieved to hear that Presidente Calderon is focusing like a laser beam on all those meth-lab sick puppies out in Arizona. So were the Democrats in The House of Representatives. They cheered for President Calderon’s disgusting and disingenuous hypocrisy. Andrew McCarthy explains why this was a national catastrophe.

But to be a nation, a People, it has to agree that it has a shared destiny: that its unique culture, core principles, and independence are worth preserving, protecting, and defending. I didn’t see a shared destiny during those moments in the People’s House Thursday. I saw Democrats cheering for Mexico’s attack on Arizona. It was a catastrophe.(HT: National Review).

Yes, a foreign leader came into our borders, stood right next to our President and gratuitously and hypocritically insulted one of our fifty states. The Democrats enjoyed it. The classless, evil, America-hating Democrats stood there and enjoyed it. Democrats cheer whenever America is insulted. Democrats want the denigration of America.

Somewhere beneath the Parker Griffithesque feel-good rhetoric the typical Democrat has a craven weasel-soul. This craven weasel-soul hates America. President Calderon did our nation a favor. His poisonous lying speech coaxed these roaches into the harsh, unforgiving sunlight.

The Democrats have been revealed for exactly the hate-America-first scum they truly are. This needs to be run in campaign adds in every state, every city, in every county across America. The People need to now which of our two parties stands up and celebrates the shaming of an America state.

Buchanan – one of the worst presidents – preceded one of the best. Maybe history will repeat…

While they may not have lauded the remarks, there were only a few dissenting voices that came out after the visit. Hatch, Cornyn, Lamar Smith, a few others. But where was the unity? Every republican lawmaker as well as a few intelligent indies should have stood shoulder to shoulder voicing opposition to Calderon’s views. Literally, a couple hundred should have hit the airwaves nationally and in their homestates or stood side by side em asse at a pressor.

The headlines the next day showed how the libs applauded, cheered and gave a standing ovation to calderon, while our side displayed a smattering of those “denouncing” his view. If you’re not boldly and voicing en masse against the deed, you’re just as culpable as those who support what he said.

In 2006 when Republicans in Congress WANTED to do the right thing and pass tough anti-illegal immigration measures. This is what started all those May Day protests. They were sawed off at the knees by party higher-ups and lectured about how “we need to reach out”. Bush put Mel (Amnesty) Martinez in as RNC chairman, to add insult to injury. It was sickening to watch.

This was the title of an article I read on Conservative Badlands that detailed what wimps the Republican leaders are at every level. They simply either do not know how or dimply do not care to play hardball. That is why no member of the leadership of either house of Congress even defended Arizona. They would not want to upset the mass media by doing anything the media would not approve of. Article is at http://conservativebadlands.blogspot.com/2010/04/no-instinct-for-jugular.html.

Do the Republicans have areal consewrvative who will st\and for limited Constitutional government in 2012? We must not present a Democrat-lite candidate in 2012 if we expect to win.

When that tin pot, 3rd world, commie dictator stood before them and put down our country, Arizona, and the American people, they should have stood up and turned their backs on him, and WALKED OUT!

Where is their outrage? I have heard none.

WE ARE TIRED OF DOING EVERYTHING OURSELVES! And they run around making deals behind closed door, and NOT USING every trick in the book to STOP OBAMA’S AGENDA!

By doing that, they are just as bad!

The fact that no one stood up and walked out insures things will get worse. I hear their so-called leaders say things like, they know they’re mainly a southeast group so they’re afraid to speak up (Peter King recently) as if that’s an excuse. Whatever it is, these people do not get it, can see Rape Trees on the internet (on Arizona land) if they’re interested, yet remain zombies.

Here is the official webpage for the Mexican el Presidente. Can someone interpret what the articles say as to his US visit. There is also an article a little down on the page that talks about his address to our Congress. I can tell that much.

If you want to tell him how you feel, there is a Contacto link at the top right of the page.

    http://www.presidencia.gob.mx/

I know that our el presidente, and our el Congresso are the ones at fault for allowing (begging) this idiot to say what he did, but, he needs a smack down from all Americans also. Is that politically correct?

I’ll pose the same question I had the day this fiasco occurred:

Why didn’t the Arizona Republican Delegation get up and walk out?? We lost an unbelievable opportunity to have put this administration in front of the world in all of its’ despicable glory.

I simply can not imagine a more”eloquent” response to President Calderon.
It would have been respected and hailed around the world. This, after all, is what America is all about. Americans have never allowed anyone’s boot on their neck. George Patten would have done cartwheels.

Why didn’t they? Simple, they had the unfortunate situation of having as the senior member of their delegation the ‘Master” of the “Hands holding ankles while waddling across the aisle. It loses something as a leadership device to underline a protest..
