Let’s say you lived in a country that had a system of socialized medicine that forced taxpayers to fund abortion on demand. Let’s say you’d done so for years, and had nary the slightest qualm about the death toll mounting as the numbers would on Al Gore’s electrical meter, as he basks in his indoor heated swimming pool. Let’s just stipulate upfront that none of this Treblinka-like efficiency at socialized puppy-snuffing makes you even doubt the bureaucratic roustabout that stares back at you in the mirror every morning.

Now what would happen if these smooth and Six-Sigma Leaned abortuaries got a wee-bit carried away when it came to killing the female fetuses? What would happen if the people came to these clinics from far and wide with the specific intention of getting rid of girls, specifically because these unborn children were girls? Would that, all of sudden and out of the blue, trigger a sudden crisis of conscience? In Great Britain, it apparently would.

Oh dear, dear me, the evils of vice and corruption! The Daily Telegraph spells out the newest moral quandary of the British NHS below.

Doctors at British clinics have been secretly filmed agreeing to terminate foetuses purely because they are either male or female. Clinicians admitted they were prepared to falsify paperwork to arrange the abortions even though it is illegal to conduct such “sex-selection” procedures. Andrew Lansley, the Health Secretary, said: “I’m extremely concerned to hear about these allegations. Sex selection is illegal and is morally wrong. I’ve asked my officials to investigate this as a matter of urgency.”

As Brett pointed out above, we’ve got this lush verdant forest of abortuaries just cranking through the flow capital of pregnant women and unborn children, but we’ve got this QC/QA glitch happening. Like the drunkard in an old Lynyrd Skynyrd song, “Oak Tree, you’re in my way!”

When you crank a few too many Type A widgets through the death machinery and not quite enough Type Bs, you violate people’s civil rights. There’s gotta’ be a way to open up a woman’s birth canal, stick a vacuum up there, pull the unborn child to pieces and flush it into a disposal bag without these unconscionable civil rights violations.

The solution to this terrible moral conundrum is obvious. The British will simply have to Shanghai (sorry Jeremy Lin) a few women pregnant with boys off the streets of London and make these statistics balance out. Otherwise, they simply won’t be operating decent and ethical abortuaries. I mordantly kid, not even NICE has gotten that Orwellian yet.

But it leaves me saddened thinking that we’re all just marking time. We live for nothing in the modern age. Our protestations are futile, our voices muted, our very existence crushed and sucked into the abortion bag. People are perfectly content forking their tax dollars over to the national puppy-snufferies until they hear that people are deliberately snuffing girls. Then, they get their stupid panties in a wad. Then, people actually act as if they have an understanding of the bio-mechanics of an abortion procedure.

This is happening now in the UK. We’ve got until 2014 (ObamaCare gets fully implemented in Amerika) until this crushing moral issue arrives here. Then, after decades of blessing off on 35 Million plus legal abortions in the US, we can get all bothered over whether our abortion clinics use tax payer dollars to specifically take out girls. Wouldn’t you rest easier if you could know and know well that they only took girl babies out by random happenstance?
