Vicente Fox Blasts Trump: "We Don't Want Him Here" [VIDEO]

Donald Trump is traveling to Mexico on Wednesday to meet with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto just hours before he is scheduled to deliver an immigration policy speech.  But not everyone in Mexico is happy to receive him.

Former President Vicente Fox told CNN’s “New Day” Wednesday morning that the people of Mexico do not want Donald Trump to visit their country.

“He is not welcome in Mexico by 130 million people. We don’t like him. We don’t want him. We reject his message. I don’t understand why President Pena has offered this opportunity. I think it’s nothing more than a political stunt. Trump is using Mexico, is using President Pena to boost his sinking poll numbers. I think that President Pena is taking an enormous political risk by hosting Trump. If he’s perceived as going soft on Trump, it will hurt him greatly.  He would even be considered like a traitor.”

When Chris Cuomo asked about the possibility of Trump improving relations and softening his position on immigration, Fox replied:

“You cannot lie to people, you cannot take advantage of people all the time like he is doing, and you cannot cheat people. You have to be straight, you have to speak the truth…So it’s a very opportunistic move, and I hope US public opinion, US citizens can see this and finally- and finally- see what is behind Trump- this false prophet- that is just cheating everybody. It’s a desperate move and I don’t see how it can work at all.”

He later apologized for Nieto even making the move to invite Trump and said he hoped Nieto would call on him to apologize to Mexicans.

Vicente Fox figured out a long time ago what some Americans still refuse to see.  Preach, Mr. Fox.
