Any day you can dunk on a diehard “Never Trump” grifter is a good day, and yesterday was one of those days.

Because so many on the left and in the mainstream media are busy trying to cancel people and companies for WrongThink, Never Trumper Rick Wilson thought he’d get in on the act as well. He took to the Twitter machine on Monday to take a swipe at Domino’s Pizza for a tweet response they posted to White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany. Here’s what he wrote:

The problem was that the tweet he called out was … nearly 8 years old, way before Trump’s presidency and well before McEnany worked for the Trump campaign and the White House, obviously:

Twitter users were quick to point out Wilson’s mistake, while also bringing up some of his old tweets in contrast to show what a flaming hypocrite he was:

Yep – flashback to that segment between Wilson and Lemon where they, along with NYT contributing op-ed writer Wajahat Ali, had a good ol’ laugh insinuating conservatives were dumb hicks who couldn’t even read a map. Wilson even went on to mock them with a fake southern accent.

Wilson has also apparently started deleting some of the more inconvenient tweets he posted before he became a CNN favorite:

Dunleavy RTd these gems, which are currently still up on Wilson’s page as of this writing:

McEnany herself responded to the manufactured “controversy”, noting her love for two national pizza chains:

Final word:

Today’s lesson: Play stupid games, get hoisted by your own petard. πŸ˜‰
