NY Dem election official indicted for voter fraud

Democrats steal votes from poor people

The 2009 primary election in Troy, NY attracted much attention for election shenanigans from Democratic officials who are associated with the Working Families Party. Well, yesterday, a grand jury issued indictments on 116 charges against a Democratic City Councilmember Michael LaPorto and Democratic Election Commissioner Edward McDonough. The Albany Times-Union and the Troy Record have been all over this.

Basically, those two Democratic officials have been indicted of forging absentee ballot applications and then actually voting those people in the Working Families Party primary. Almost everyone who was voted illegally by these officials were poor people living in housing projects. To make clear what this means: Democratic officials stole the right to vote from poor people.

The Troy Record said:

The charges against them surround some 50 voters who were allegedly deprived of their vote in the Sept. 15, 2009 Working Families Party primary election in Troy. Many were residents of the city’s housing projects.

At a press conference later Friday, Special Prosecutor Trey Smith said many of the alleged victims are the county’s “less fortunate.” Many do not speak English well, he said, while one is deaf and can communicate only in sign language.

The Times Union initially broke the story, pointing out that some people were shocked to find that they had voted.

The scandal was exposed by the Times Union in a Sept. 25, 2009 article that quoted a number of voters who were mystified to learn ballots were cast in their name during the primary.

The indictments resulted from an investigation launched in October 2009 by Smith after allegations arose that Democrats were forging voters’ signatures and casting fraudulent primary ballots.

The Times Union points out that the election official who was indicted learned his Democratic corruption at the knee of his father who was the Chair of the Rensselaer County Democratic Party and who went to federal prison for a municipal insurance kickback scheme:

For the McDonoughs, this is the second time in 20 years that a family member has been indicted. McDonough’s father, the late Rensselaer County Democratic Party Chairman Edward F. McDonough Jr., was indicted by a federal grand jury, convicted and sentenced to federal prison in 1994 for a municipal insurance kickback scheme that brought him $637,000.

It might be sort of redundant to steal votes for Democrats in an area where everyone is going to vote for the Democrat anyways.
It seems more like these votes were just merely precast.

Beat me by a spell-check and getting a cup of coffee.

I’ll get you for that young man. ;)

Is not so much what they did but who is involved.
The Working Families Party is a group that works hand in hand with ACORN. They helped tip the balance in Minnesota for Al Franken where it was discovered after the election that many convicted felons had voted.
The WFP is notorious for voter fraud.

Your honor, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, our clients are completely innocent/not guilty due to the fact these ‘poor people’ were going to vote Democrat at a 99.9% rate anyway. Our clients simply helped avert adding to the Bush-caused global warming statistics by having these ‘poor people’ avoid using transportation of any kind.

Ain’t it amazin’ how simple lawyerin’ can be ?

You can do it too. Click on www.HowObamaGotElected.com, or dial 1-800-BIG-NUDGE for more information.

Our clients were simply assisting these voters under the motor voter act your honor. Each client was screened to ensure they couldn’t get to the polls that day and ensured their vote would still be counted…

      Democrat Judge:
      Not guilty. (winking optional)

      Republican Judge:
What do you mean you already have your sentencing appeal prepared? Sigh… Guilty as charged, sentencing shall be determined in two weeks.

The “accused” were tried in New York state where the alleged crimes were committed and one of them has a family record of questionable behavior.
A real shame they weren’t tried in a red state where judge and jury might be a little less understanding and tolerant of this behavior.

Old habits die hard, so what difference does registration make?
It’s what they are, their very identity. Why join the Mafia or other criminal organizations? Become a Democrat, you get to smear your betters, appear on Sunday talk shows, be fawned over by the Times and apes like Katie Couric, lay accusations of murder on political dissent & debate, stab your allies in the back, get rich in so called public service, you can’t beat it.
    We’re the suckers !

It actually is a big deal in Troy. Rensselaer County and Troy in particular had a pretty decent GOP. They control the Mayor’s office and for a while had the City Council. Post-2007, the City Council slipped from their fingers. As a former resident of Troy, I’m unsurprised at the voter fraud. The capital district NY Democrats / Working Family Parties are sketchy.

Look into Mechanicville, NY where there were many counts of voter fraud related to the Mayoral election. The former Democratic Party Chair in Mechanicville (who was also my high school janitor, for the record) was indicted on multiple counts.

I live in Clifton Park, which has a strong GOP presence. I used to live in Troy–matter of fact, I was born there. The WFP/ACORN link needs to be hammered home over and over.

They forged the actual absentee ballots and voted.

    Great minds think alike. Thanks.
