Hillary Clinton Spox: Hillary Isn't Criminal, She's Just Careless and Stupid (VIDEO)

The Clinton campaign must have internal polling showing them that he blatant and serial exposure of highly classified information to foreign intelligence services is acting like a metastasizing cancer on her candidacy. Otherwise there is no reason a campaign not run by Donald Trump would send out a spokesman to tell a story that, in one fell swoop, calls into question her integrity (hahahahaha) and mental acuity.

BBIANNA KEILAR: Two points and I hear people from the campaign saying, you’re talking about three emails, they seem to be focused very much on these emails [you really have to watch this to appreciate the eyeroll that accompanied this intro] that were marked classified and then there was [inaudible]

KRISTINA SCHAKE [note the emphatic lying that follows, I wonder if it is related to the German surname]: Yes.

BBIANNA KEILAR: But there were other statements that she made specifically that the FBI director was asked about. She had said, “I did not email any classified material to anyone on my email there is no classified material.” That was a public statement and when asked about that, [FBI] Director Comey said there was classified material email. He said this had gone both ways. Why did she say something like “I short-circuited”? Why did she…

KRISTINA SCHAKE: I disagree. He’s talking about a hundred and ten emails that she has consistently said she does not believe are classified. And, he, himself, in his testimony said they were not marked classified. They didn’t have a stamp…

BBIANNA KEILAR: But some were classified at the time…

KRISTINA SCHAKE: She disagrees with that. And so were the professionals who were emailing her that information. She received emails from more than three hundred experts at the State Department and other agencies who understand the classified system and they disagree. So that’s a disagreement about that. But again she has said this was a mistake and she’s taking responsibility for it I do

Let’s go to the claims. Several of the documents in question were clearly marked classified. Take it away James Comey:

From the group of 30,000 e-mails returned to the State Department, 110 e-mails in 52 e-mail chains have been determined by the owning agency to contain classified information at the time they were sent or received. Eight of those chains contained information that was Top Secret at the time they were sent; 36 chains contained Secret information at the time; and eight contained Confidential information, which is the lowest level of classification. Separate from those, about 2,000 additional e-mails were “up-classified” to make them Confidential; the information in those had not been classified at the time the e-mails were sent.

With respect to the thousands of e-mails we found that were not among those produced to State, agencies have concluded that three of those were classified at the time they were sent or received, one at the Secret level and two at the Confidential level. There were no additional Top Secret e-mails found. Finally, none of those we found have since been “up-classified.”

For example, seven e-mail chains concern matters that were classified at the Top Secret/Special Access Program level when they were sent and received. These chains involved Secretary Clinton both sending e-mails about those matters and receiving e-mails from others about the same matters. There is evidence to support a conclusion that any reasonable person in Secretary Clinton’s position, or in the position of those government employees with whom she was corresponding about these matters, should have known that an unclassified system was no place for that conversation. In addition to this highly sensitive information, we also found information that was properly classified as Secret by the U.S. Intelligence Community at the time it was discussed on e-mail (that is, excluding the later “up-classified” e-mails).

Separately, it is important to say something about the marking of classified information. Only a very small number of the e-mails containing classified information bore markings indicating the presence of classified information. But even if information is not marked “classified” in an e-mail, participants who know or should know that the subject matter is classified are still obligated to protect it.

The entire FBI investigation was kicked off because the Intelligence Community IG sent a criminal referral to the FBI over Clinton mishandling Top Secret/Code Word information. So, no, the experts don’t agree. In fact, the experts say just the opposite.

In addition, Clinton was the “classifying authority” at the State Department. As such, she had an affirmative duty to understand the laws of how material is classified and how that material is handled. Even without markings it was her affirmative duty to recognize the material and to handle it appropriately. She knew conversations with foreign leaders are “born classified” and yet she did nothing to protect those conversations either directly or as relayed by US ambassadors. Beyond that, we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Clinton deliberately had classification markings stripped before it was sent to her making her defense very much like the kid who kills his parents and asks for leniency because he’s an orphan.

Hillary Clinton’s best friend is the lie. The lie has been her lifelong companion and lover. The lie circumscribes every aspect of her life beginning with how she describes the lives of her grandparents and how she says she was named by her mother. Throughout her public life, Clinton has shown an unerring ability to attract to her pond scum, like Lanny Davis and now Kristina Schake, who have no integrity and will tell whatever lie she wishes them to tell.
