Is the New White House Communications Director a Gun Grabber?

Today the White House announced the appointment of Trump ally, Anthony Scaramucci, as communications director. This is not a good thing.

If people are policy, then we have a lot of reasons to be very concerned that the appointment of Scaramucci marks the beginning of a leftist tilt in the Trump administration. Things like this, are disturbing:

“We don’t want to be on the wrong side of history,” said Anthony Scaramucci, the founder of Skybridge Capital and SALT, the hedge fund conference in Las Vegas. The Republican political donor and his company are supporters of LGBT rights. Caitlin Jenner will be a speaker at this year’s conference.

Ummm…the wrong side of history was throwing out 5+ millennia of human experience. Unfortunately for all of us, the bullet train to Pervertville has left the station. All that is left to oppose today is John Roberts and Anthony Kennedy making homosexuality mandatory. But Scaramucci has other questionable views:

This looks like Scaramucci’s Twitter account was hacked by Michael Bloomberg. And, of course, Bloomberg’s anti-gun group is making the most of it

The gun-control group Everytown for Gun Safety, led by Trump foe Michael Bloomberg, seized on Mr. Scaramucci’s past comments.

“Scaramucci’s comments underscore recent national polling data: Gun violence prevention is not a partisan issue,” said Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. “A vast majority of Americans — including gun owners, NRA members and Republicans — overwhelmingly support common-sense gun laws.”

She added, “While NRA leaders may have a seat at the table in Trump’s White House, there are millions of Americans standing on the side of gun safety, possibly including the new White House Communications Director. It’s time for the entire White House and current administration to join us in speaking out against gun violence and eradicate the gun lobby’s ‘guns everywhere, for anyone’ agenda.”

Time will tell, but from what we know about Scaramucci, it looks like the Jared/Ivanka faction has won the war for the White House.
