Iran has launched a wave of 400-500 missiles and drones toward Israel. Their attacks have been reinforced by a wave of suicide drones from Houthi territory in Yemen.

There are unconfirmed reports that Hezbollah has fired rockets into Northern Israel.

The Israel Air Force is out in force over Israel. British and US aircraft are airborne to assist the IAF in engaging missiles and drones before they arrive in Israel.

The Iranian concept of the operation seems to be the same as that followed by the Russians in Ukraine. They will fire a large number of drones on multiple routes to exhaust the defensive missile supply, and follow that wave up with cruise missiles. Following the pattern we've seen with Ukrainian drone swarms, a non-trivial number of them will crash en route to their targets.

One indication that Iran may be exercising good judgment is that no ballistic missile launches have been detected so far.
