Petition Seeks to Force Trump to Receive a Mental Evaluation

In a week that has been fraught with bad news, I’ll take my laughs wherever I can get them.

There’s a petition on the move with Change.org that would require Donald Trump to receive a mental evaluation before he continues on with his campaign.

The petition reads:

Donald Trump has exhibited disturbing behavior that calls into question his ability to serve as President of the United States. The American people deserve to know now that there will not be a need to remove him from office under Article 25, Section 4 of the Constitution of the United States of America, should he be unable to serve.

No doubt, the GOP’s presumptive nominee is reckless, arrogant, has changed his position on so many issues that nobody knows where he stands, and in general, does not instill any feelings of ease among anyone with an IQ out of double digits.

Article 25, Section 4 of our Constitution states:

Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

One gets the impression that only a slight push would cause a total and complete break from reality for the toad.

As of 11:30pm on Thursday night, the petition had 1,090 of a sought after 1,500 signatures.

Let’s hope it’s enough to spur him to get the help he so obviously needs.
