GOP Bill to Repeal Obamacare Will Defund Planned Parenthood

YES!

This should be one of the main focuses of repealing that nightmarish piece of legislation, laughably known as the “Affordable” Care Act.

While discussing the GOP plans for a new bill to repeal, House Speaker Paul Ryan basically said that the butchers of Planned Parenthood should start making plans to get off of the government gravy train.

Ryan said cutting off federal funds to the organization will be included in a “reconciliation” bill that also repeals the core of ObamaCare. The reconciliation process prevents Democrats from launching a filibuster against the measure, meaning Republicans won’t need 60 votes to win on defunding.

“Planned Parenthood legislation will be in our reconciliation bill,” Ryan said, without providing any more details.

That’s excellent news.

Pro-life groups have long opposed any government funding for an agency that performs life-ending procedures of “convenience.”

Under the Obama administration, those organizations have sunk to new lows to enrich themselves at the cost of human life.

The reconciliation bill that Republicans passed as a test run last year cut off funding for Planned Parenthood for one year.

Not long enough.

If the same liberals that champion Planned Parenthood really had any faith in the “healthcare” they claim is provided through the organization, then they would have no problem dipping into their own, private funds, in order to keep the lights on in their local abortion mills.

As it is with liberals, however, they’re rather insistent that the public be compelled to fund their irresponsible lifestyles.

Let’s hope this repeal effort grows legs. It’s time to get Planned Parenthood out of our pockets.
