The Communist Contingent Draws A Line In The Sand

I spent Saturday at the OneNation rally in Washington, DC. The intent was to cover the rally and see first-hand what I was certain would get significant media coverage.

This, for me, was an awakening. I live in the heart of DC, and work full time in the political sphere. I am relatively new to the game, but I do not consider myself naive in this regard. I’ve joked about the left being communists and socialists, but I am not certain I ever believed that they were truly avowed opposition to all that is American. I suppose I wanted to believe that at the end of the day, every American loved their freedom enough to fight for it.

I was wrong.

What I saw was the unions that are supposed to be there to support workers exploiting busloads of them, shipping predominantly black groups in matching tee-shirts down from Baltimore and New York and other places on the East Coast. I saw union workers that were provided not only with paid time off, but compensation, free travel, and boxed lunches. I saw unions directly aligning themselves with the Communist Party USA. I have a hard time believing that the majority of those blue collar union workers consider themselves Communists.

I am not certain when it became okay to be a Communist in America. Our Freedom is such a deeply ingrained value that I took it for granted that we’d win out; that these people were such a minority that they were completely insignificant.

I was right in one regard: They are a minority. I know this has been posted on this site already, but it’s worth looking at again. Here’s the comparison shot between Glenn Beck’s 8/28 rally and yesterday’s OneNation rally:

Just to recap: Glenn Beck did not pay any attendees. He did not orchestrate buses, nor did he provide any travel assistance. The unions paid for the travel costs, paid them for their time, provided meals… and still drew an embarrassing crowd.

What I was wrong about is their insignificance. These are the same people that will be doing GOTV for the Democrats in November. They are the ones that will be busing people to the polls and stuffing ballot boxes. As LaborUnionReport pointed out, the options are clear.  If nothing else, the Left is good at exploiting people who feel as if they owe the Democrats their equality, and we would be silly to ignore the amount of money they are willing to spend on this midterm election. We are now in a period where Americans can choose unapologetic Communism vs. uncompromising Freedom. The line has been drawn in the sand.

We do not have a choice but to keep fighting back. We have not yet won anything. GOTV. Don’t underestimate the unions. We have a hard battle to fight, and we’re now just 29 days out.

This is what we’re up against (photos via @Ben_Howe):

This is a fight against Communism and Socialism. This is what we’re up against. Do. Your. Part.

GOTV.

that there is no breathing room between Leftist radicals of all stripes, and the Democrat party. Hardcore communists openly proclaim the Democrat party agenda as their own, and offer the Democrat party their full support.

The radicalized hard-Left and the Democrat party are one and the same.

  • banzaibob

This is why the GOP needs to take the Center-Right position, cut spending and shrink government. Given a clear choice the majority of Americans will pick the conservatives.

  • reaganauh2o

crowd left behind in the way of litter and garbage. I imagine if the unions provided box lunches to their paid rally participants, they were told if they cleaned up after themselves they would be stealing work from their bretheren who get paid to do it.

Gets me the most about the GOP. They do a very poor job of letting the country know exactly what we are up against. They fall prey to the tired old argument of the ” extreme right” with no real fight in the game against it. They let the media direct the narrative, and then they wonder why the conservative base is in an uproar. All this information at their fingertips and yet they are on the defense most of the time. The American people are not communist and need to have this put in their face. Colin Powell and the like should be ashamed of themselves for even entertaining the idea that the GOP have moved “too far to the right”.. they know better.

…..and they do not deny it and they are actually extremely proud of it. I believe that the country is beginning to see what the disgraceful state run media has been covering up and lying about.

Although the state run media, Hollywood, and the unions flood the country with propaganda showing their love for Communism, the American people are seeing through it and them.

I believe that the American people will not allow Obama and the DemComm’s to destroy this country as they are attempting – by design. The disgraceful displays such as those at Communist Saturday and an ongoingly from the state run media have been found out and condemned.

Even though there are flaws in the GOP, there is no comparison to the DemComm party who want this country destroyed. The DemComm Party need to never be allowed to come anywhere near leadership in this country ever again.

Back to the phones now to call for candidates who love this country and love the Constiution as is, and make the wins for them even greater in 30 days.

AFP didn’t bus anyone to the Restoring Honor Rally and all Democrats are communists because communists support Democrats? Pot meet kettle… what about the loons from StormFront who support Republican candidates and attend Tea Party events? Is it a fair comparison?

    • http://thesandsinstitute.org Vassar Bushmills

No one, no one was paid, or ordered to attend the Beck rally. In fact, most democrats are socialists, almost all in public office are liars, and all approve of the theft of money from men and women who work for so as to give it to people who don’t or won’t, but only after it has first been handled my middle-men who are the aforementioned socialists and thieves. You seem to fit in the rank and file there somewhere.

      Your next point?

No time to break you down by age or IQ, both low I’m guessing, just trying to diagram your argument, so as to close the circle.

I don’t know that Stormfront was at the Beck event, you don’t know if they attend any particular Tea Party event, or any at all, for that matter, so I assume you made it up. It’s a grievous lie to say a thing is so when you don’t really know it is so,,,especially when you say it to yourself. Which seems to eb case here. But if they are loons and they attend any GOP/TP event, who are you comparing them to at the Commie march yesterday?

You see to have come undone so early. Poop, I thought we had a keeper.

          • stonedoubt

It’s interesting that you start this conversation by throwing insults. For your information, I am 41 years old and married with 3 kids. I am a freelance programmer living outside of Huntersville, NC. I suppose that doesn’t stack up to your credentials and you certainly wouldn’t be the first Republican to declare that they were my better.

          • acat

Programmers need at least a passing acquaintance with structured logic… but any serious analysis of Obama’s campaign lit came up empty.

Freelancers are very dependent on a good economy, but any analysis of Obama’s plans showed he was going to be an economic disaster.

It’s not about credentials, it’s about abilities. I’ve worked with, and had the pleasure of firing more than one fool who got this backwards….

            Mew

          • http://thesandsinstitute.org Vassar Bushmills

I would never want a misassessment to be misconstrued as an insult.
You wrote like a nanny-boo-boo 19 years old therefore I just naturally assumed. I have a 41 year and he sure never poses a fallacy as amateurishly as you did. Please forgive me.

    • http://www.laborunionreport.com LaborUnionReport

As a party, the Democrats have embraced socialism and, as a result, have the commies fully endorsing them.. [Egg and Chicken Theory defined.]

“Progressivism:” is nothing more than socialism in wrapping paper.

But, if you don’t understand that, you probably are on the wrong site.

Heres’ an easier one for you: http://www.roysac.com/blog/2007/08/political-systems-for-dummies/

    • aesthete

or worse, extolling the Jim Crow South’s worst excesses and lynchings, as progressive academics are wont to do, we’ll talk. When you find a coordinated effort on the part of the military (to name a conservative government organization) to use your tax dollars to facilitate protests of military funding cuts, as you see federal government unions do, then we’ll talk. When one of our leading candidates for President seeks out premier Stormfront and racist luminaries to help with his bid for higher office in a conservative district, as Barack Obama did with Bill Ayers, then the comparison can stand. The equivocation rings false until such a time that you can bring evidence to bear that matches the above.

And no, not all Democrats are communists and socialists: I highly doubt that much more than a very small minority are. However, it is no mistake that the communists and socialists within the Democratic Party are incredibly overrepresented in the leadership and activist wings of the Democratic Party and the activist progressive movement.

You will now retract that absurd lie, and you will apologize for trying to smear your political opponents for doing the thing that your own side is doing: breaking bread with murdering, genocidal scum.

      Next post.

      Moe Lane

PS: Don’t even think about trying to drag in the LaRouchies, either. Those are *your* side’s crazies, too.

      • stonedoubt

I appreciate the people who actually had the balls to answer the questions without personal attacks. I don’t even know who the “LaRouchies” are.

I attended a local Tea Party event here in Concord, NC and there were guys handing out pamphlets promoting StormFront. But thx for the accusation that I was lying anyway. You can even read the posts on their site and see that many of them are Republicans and Tea Partiers. I had no idea who they were until I saw those fliers.

Now… before you get your underwear in a bunch… I never said that StormFront represents Republicans. I asked if it was a fair comparison.

I am only interested in conversation and am not bashing anyone. Maybe it just hasn’t occurred to you that some people have no idea where you are coming from and might be interested in finding out more about what conservatism is about beyond the name calling and demagoguery. So I will let the fact that you felt compelled to oppo research me and call me a liar go… if you are willing to take a deep breathe and have a conversation. Thanks.

But you kind of knew that already, yah?

this is the constituency of the Democrats???

This is who ACORN and other Leftist organizations get charged up to go to the polls for SOCIAL JUSTICE. ‘

The Far Left and Democrats cannot deny that they are Socialists, this was on display for everyone to see. They want this country to be like the Socialist States in Europe.

And if any Storm Front or other idiots come to a Tea Party they are asked to leave or take down their signs

  • http://stixblog.com Black River Wolf

did not pay for anyone to go to the rally. People had to pay for their own way. Big difference.

StormFront???? Are you talking about the idiot LaRouche Douches???

    • stonedoubt

Ok. I mentioned the AFP buses because Tabitha claimed noone bused anyone to the Restoring Honor Rally… but AFP did bus people… and so did some other groups. It’s not a criticism… just a correction of facts.

  • stonedoubt

Granted… this comment isn’t particularly on topic with this article… however, I want to try and clear the air as there is some ozone from my first ever comment on RS. It may come as a surprise to you that many people who have voted Democrat in the past may share similar concerns that you do. Sometimes it’s hard to get past all of the rhetoric and back and forth. Look… I get called “righty” by liberals… so please don’t flip out on me here as well. I would like to join the conversation… not argue… but I am also going to point out or ask questions when I see something that I think is false.

Yes… I voted for Obama but that really had more to do with the fact that I preferred him over McCain… because I thought McCain was a liar and panderer… which is unfortunate, because I would have voted for him before the debate at the Reagan Library when he showed me his true colors by insisting on his lies about Romney even after he had been proven wrong to his face. After that debate, it just continued to pile up. In addition, although I know many people like her, It is intellectually dishonest to say that Palin was qualified to be VP, in my opinion.

Now… you know where I stand and I am sure that some of you will be frothing at the mouth to insult me or call me names or whatever. If that makes you feel better and you feel like you must… it’s fine. I am not thin skinned… however, I would much rather join the conversation than to continue to just read RS as I have done for quite some time now. If you would rather chase me off… that’s ok too. It would justify alot of the things people say about you, anyway.

Then your account may survive long enough to get to another comment.

The 2008 Democrat Party Platform is essentially the same as the 2005 CPUSA Program. The two parties are so similar in their goals that the CPUSA has not run its own candidate for President in in ages. I don’t know when was the last time they ran their own candidate instead of just endorsing the Democrat, but it was a long time ago. If the Democrat is close enough to communism for the Communist Party of the USA to wholeheartedly endorse them instead of running their own candidate, then they are for all practical purposes the same as communists.

      Follow that logic?

Now here is the logical representation of the conclusion.

      Communist=Democrat

The reflexive property tells us that the following is equally true.

      Democrat=Communist

See if you can argue about that without bringing Stormfront and other National *Socialist* buttheads into the argument.

    • earlgrey

right now a lot of people on this site are just focused on doing the best we can in November. Side arguments that dampen enthusiasm or cast conservatives in a negative light, are just not welcome right now. It is either join the fight or get out of the way.

Of course it is important to be honest in our arguments and support. The danger of democrat/progressive rule has already been shown and clearly defined. We have to Stop the Damage. The choice as to who to vote for in the general is crystal clear.

    • http://itsaboutfreedom.proboards.com IronDioPriest

Mkay. Would you please quantify through compare and contrast how Barack Hussein Obama was qualified, thus garnering your confidence and your vote, yet Sarah Palin was unqualified?

This has been rehashed endlessly, but I find it fascinating every time I see or hear someone call the governor of the state commanding the greatest deposits of natural resources and land mass in the country, elevated by the people from mayor of a city – a woman who is a self-made small business owner elected to be the CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF A STATE – is “unqualified” to be VICE-President…

…while the same exact person says that a race-hustler academician elevated from the neighborhood on the fast-track through the CHICAGO GUTTER MACHINE, with NO academic track record, NO executive experience, NO traceable past aside from Socialist politics, who allows his half-siblings to live in third-world filth while doing NOTHING to help them – IS qualified to be PRESIDENT of the United States of America.

Sorry, I shouldn’t even allow my buttons to be pushed, but for Pete’s sake. Intellectual honesty, please.

    • acat

(really wish I had Moe Lane’s gift for phrase-turning today…)

      Let me make this simple.

I don’t believe you when you say you’ve been reading Red State for “quite some time now” – unless that’s a measure for under a week, you have lousy reading comprehension, or your head is unusually thick with lies. The simplest explanation is you’re a moby.

      First things.

If the rectal-cranial-inversion goons from stormfront were at a rally, the media would have been all over it. Period. They’ve made a habit of trying to tie racists to beck and the tea partiers since the beginning of the movement – including sending in their own haters and trying to film them. Since it didn’t make the news in a notable way, either submit a URL to a news service story showing stomrfront was present, or retract the allegation.

If you did enough research on McCain to determine he’s got two modes – candidate/pander and official/backstabber – but thought Obama was an improvement, then you didn’t do a damn bit of research on Obama. Having done a half-assed job, you now assert that “it’s not your fault”.

As for Palin’s qualifications, I think she was overqualified, by Cactus Jack Garner’s measure at least. Look it up. That’s something you’ll have to do to join this conversation, so get used to it.

Finally, I still have no idea where you stand. You haven’t shown any fiber, haven’t taken and defended a position, haven’t declared any belief that I can see. Do you, in fact, stand? I can’t tell.

      Last things.

I don’t give a rat’s ass for what other people say about me. That’s just public opinion, and nobody ever made a name for himself by following that will-o-the-wisp, though Clinton surely tried.

      Mew

Thomas Wolfe’s Bonfire of the Vanities is all about fake demonstrations and orchestrated “outrage.”

One reason Dems./libs. don’t understand the tea parties is they haven’t seen a spontaneous march since the 60s.

I think that also shows that even if the NRA stupidly has endorsed 53 Dems., for Cong., we have the momentum–look at the disparity between Beck’s demo and the unions’. Not only–last year the big 9/12 rally was never monitored from the air, due to bans on flyover rights (was the left afraid to know) and the same lack of crowd estimation occurred for those who went to DC to protest the Obamacare vote. But there were enough of the latter to hold hands and surround the Capitol, which must have been an enormous undertaking.
