The Blatant Moral Injustice of Bowe Bergdahl vs. Sergeant Martland
It’s a moral contradiction like no other.
Bowe Bergdahl stands accused of deserting his post to cavort with the enemy. Sergeant Charles Martland stands accused of forcefully removing a child rapist from a U.S. military base in order to defend a child.
Bergdahl was treated as a hero by the Obama Administration. Sergeant Martland – a decorated Green Beret – may be kicked out of the military.

The Stray Voltage of Bowe Bergdahl
On May 31, 2014, Barack Obama ambled into the Rose Garden to announce that an American soldier, Bowe Bergdahl, had been ransomed from the Taliban in exchange for five high-ranking Taliban captives: Sergeant Bergdahl has missed birthdays and holidays and the simple moments with family and friends, which all of us take for granted. But while Bowe was gone he was never forgotten. His parents | Read More »
The Insane Defense of the Bergdahl Swap
Now that Bowe Bergdahl has been charged with desertion, as his platoon mates have suggested he should be since before the ill-fated swap was executed, the administration’s attempts to defend one of their worst decisions to date have predictably grown more absurd. Via RCP, hashtag diplomat Jen Psaki’s stammering efforts to deal with basic questions from Megyn Kelly are a pretty representative sample. Watch the | Read More »
Why Bowe Bergdahl Matters
Barack Obama traded five Taliban soldiers for Bowe Bergdahl. Despite State Department statements to the contrary, we know at least one of those Taliban headed back out to kill Americans. But the Bergdahl situation matters at a different level than that. It matters because the White House, when confronted by who Bergdahl once, sought to smear the people who pointed out he was a deserter | Read More »
Some things we’re not allowed to know until after the election
If you’re wondering who the next Attorney General of the United States might be, following the departure of Eric “Stonewall” Holder, you’ll have to wait until after the elections. Senate Democrats demanded the White House keep the name under wraps until they drag themselves past the 2014 midterms. That tells you the names they’ve been hearing through back channels from the White House wouldn’t bring | Read More »
#ImpeachObama? No, #ImpeachHagel Instead!
Washington Free Beacon’s Adam Kredo lays out the crimes reported by the GAO: The Pentagon was found to have “violated” the 2014 Department of Defense Appropriations Act “when it transferred five individuals detained at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to the nation of Qatar without providing at least 30 days notice to certain congressional committees,” according to the report. The Defense Department also was legally prohibited from | Read More »
So Then What About Bowe Bergdahl?
The ISIS/ISIL nuts are not above trading a hostage for American dollars to later use against us. They made a ransom demand to the United States. CNN’s Crossfire tweeted out the response from the spokesman for President Obama’s National Security Council. “[The U.S.] does not grant concessions to hostage takers…. Doing so would only put more Americans at risk of being taken captive,” said the | Read More »
Simon and Schuster covers for Obama
One would think that when a senior editor at publishing giant Simon & Schuster received a book proposal from a literary agent representing the platoon-mates of Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl she would have been excited. After all, Bergdahl, who was with the Taliban for nearly five years, is something of a celebrity. Obama did his customary victory shuffle in the Rose Garden with Bergdahl’s parents as | Read More »
Long hot summer for the White House, why not a national vacation?
Summer doldrums is here. That time between the end of basketball and hockey season, and before football season starts, when lazy baseball games stretch on, the days are long, and everyone takes their vacations. There’s plenty of reasons the Obama White House would like us to just forget the next two months and take a national vacation.
ICYMI, let’s review the White House’s woe-list:

The Legality of the Taliban Swap
There is a lot of talk here and throughout the media about the recent swap of five Taliban prisoners held at Gitmo in return for an American soldier. Personally, the whole things smells like a plot from the HBO series “Homeland.” This article will focus on the alleged illegality of Obama’s failure to notify Congress of the impending deal. As will become clear, I firmly believe | Read More »
Stop the Feast, Bowe Bergdahl is No Prodigal Son
[T]he father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate. Luke 15:22-24

Your Must Read of the Day
Six soldiers died after Bowe Bergdahl’s desertion. Democrats are attacking the GOP claiming the GOP is using this issue for purely partisan purposes. But soldiers who served with Bowe Bergdahl disagree. They say these six soldiers would not have died had Bergdahl not disappeared. Even one two time Obama voting member of the military agrees. This is your must read of the day. Jake Tapper | Read More »
Doing What’s Right
“Knowing what’s right doesn’t mean much unless you do what’s right.” – Theodore Roosevelt Recently, I noticed this quote from our 26th President displayed at the entrance to an elementary school Fifth Grade classroom. As I read it, my immediate thought was, “I wish that was a common attitude with today’s politicians.” Although “Teddy” Roosevelt is honored as one of America’s best presidents, I recognize that | Read More »

“We thought we may not see them again as once you land in the hands of Americans, it’s difficult to come out alive,” Noori’s relative said. “But it was a miracle that Allah Almighty gave us Bergdahl and we got back our heroes.”
They are also reporting that the government of Qatar is not restricting the movements of the Taliban Five. The “deal” we have is supposed to keep those men from traveling, but I suspect it won’t be hard for them to slip out at some point to Afghanistan. They are certainly expected there soon.
