3 Important Questions Lois Lerner Raised about the IRS Targeting Without Saying a Word
Lois Lerner – the former senior IRS official at the heart of the IRS targeting scandal – once again pleaded the Fifth Amendment this week refusing to answer any questions about the scheme aimed at silencing conservatives.
Yet, her silence this week is very telling. It raises 3 important questions, without her even saying a word.
Was It All About Spite Against Conservatives?

Tech at Night: Note how the SIGINT outrage is only against the US and allies. FCC reform.
How do we know that the NSA stuff is being driven by anti-Americanism? So much outrage about NSA and American allies, but so little about Russia, China, and American rivals. Heck, I’m not even seeing a peep about a Chicom firm Lenovo buying Google Motorola.
Now here’s a major reform idea I could get behind: merging FCC and FTC. By removing one entity, we reduce the added burden on business when two different regulators come after them for the same stuff. Getting rid of DoJ’s antitrust division would help, too. Because now even SEC is grabbing new tech powers.

Republican Retreat With Lobbyists
Just heard on Greta Van Susteren that the Republicans are planning a retreat for this week-end. House Republicans will hold their annual retreat at a waterside resort on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Although Republicans will deny what I’m about to say vehemently, deals behind closed doors not exactly kosher. The bottom line is they’re wining and dining with some high powered lobbyists from big corporations and | Read More »
Charging Dinesh: Obama Tries to Jail Another Filmmaker
Just a few weeks ago, the media and the left (but I repeat myself) were outraged over New Jersey’s chief executive using the power of government to punish his political enemies. Gov Chris Christie was accused of closing a couple of lanes to a bridge, and this was evidence that he was not fit to lead our great country. Now, Dinesh D’Souza has been indicted | Read More »
Tech at Night: The Christmas debit card hacks weren’t just at Target. A Free Market debate on Retransmission Consent.
Can someone explain to me why the government feels the need to target a private company in the press? This reminds me of Russia. This isn’t justice, this is a vindictive Obama administration asserting power for the sake of power. They’re Marxists who wish to take down private industry because it is successful. If this were about mere antitrust, there would be no need to jockey in the press. But the surface allegations are mere pretext. That’s why they aren’t content to win. They have to attack and to destroy.
The FCC continues to be lawless as well, having rushed its prison phone power grab. But you won’t see any administration lawyers running to the press to condemn that.
So it turns out it wasn’t just Target that got its register systems broken into over the Christmas shopping season. Oh boy. Cue hysterical Democrat bleating to blame the victims some more, instead of standing up to the Anarchist wing of their own party, as was seen in the former Occupy “protests.”

DOJ to Supreme Court: Religious Beliefs Aren’t Important Enough to Strike Abortion-Pill Mandate
If we wanted your religious beliefs on abortion-pill coverage, we’d give them to you appears to be the latest in an untenable string of arguments from the Obama DOJ over the HHS Mandate.

Obama Donor Investigating Obama’s IRS Political Scandal is Scandal Unto Its Own
Imagine the outrage and media frenzy that would ensue if Governor Chris Christie were to appoint one of his major donors to investigate his own political retribution scandal. It would be unfathomable.
Yet, that is exactly what President Obama’s DOJ just did in the IRS targeting scandal.

Obama Administration Wants Religious Employers to Drop Their Insurance Plans?
Buried deep in the Obama DOJ’s response to Justice Sotomayor’s eleventh hour emergency stay of the abortion-pill mandate for a group of Catholic nuns, is a glimpse into the Obama Administration’s plan for the HHS Mandate.
After forcing millions of Americans off “plans they liked,” now the Obama Administration appears to be trying to force employees of religiously based organizations and businesses to lose their insurance as well.

Knock Out Hipocrisy by the DOJ
The coverage by the media on the assault of innocent people in the so-called “knock out game” is inexcusable. This is not a game when people are being killed with one punch. The media needs to quit using that name and start putting a spot light on this horrendous act of violence regardless of race or reason. I am sickened by any human being hitting another, | Read More »
Just think soon they will be in charge of your healthcare.
With the passage of Obamacare and the twisted pretzel shape that John Roberts had to get into to shove his head that far up his ass to rule it constitutional comes a glimmer of hope. Wait, no. That’s not the right word. What I meant was another reason to fear for your personal freedom and wealth. Imagine this you immigrate, legally I might add, from | Read More »
DOJ Violates It’s OWN Shutdown Contingency Plan by Shutting Down Amberalert.gov
By now, you have probably heard that the Department of Justice has shutdown amberalert.gov due to a “lapse in federal funding.” Seems pretty outrageous huh. Especially considering all the controversy surrounding closing down parks that don’t receive any federal funds and spending money to block access to WWII memorials. During the shutdown, “essential” government services continue. Before the shutdown began, each federal department came up | Read More »
Dana Carvey, The Rodeo Clown and The Head On A Stick
You had to feel for the poor guys over on the set of Game of Thrones. They had this scene where King Joffrey took his girlfriend Sansa on a tour of all the heads he’d recently severed,* but were short a few plastic masks to paint up as decaying cadaver heads. They couldn’t seem to locate any Jerry Brown of Arnold Schwarzenegger faces so they were forced, against their better judgment**, to use a facial likeness of President George W. Bush. It’s amazing how accidents happen. It wasn’t anything, you know, political. And who can forget how hilarious Dana Carvey used to be. “A thousand points of light!” he’d intone in his most mocking imitation of a President in the middle of his re-election campaign. But this was “comedy.” He wouldn’t do that to influence any voters, now would he? It’s all in good fun you Crazy Wingnuts, so lighten up.
Now we get to the amusing goings on over at the Missouri State Fair. It seems a rodeo clown there came up with the idea of running around in front of an angry bull wearing a Barack Obama Mask. It wasn’t hilariously funny. Better than Letterman’s jokes about A-Rod knocking up Sarah Palin’s children between HGH injections, but not on a level with vintage Dana Carvey SNL. The Left was of course tolerate and patient. They deiced to just let the lowbrows do their “Dance of The Sloping Foreheads.” It’s just comedy they reasoned. It can’t hurt anyone. Oh Wait….

Sen. Mark Pryor Tackles The Tough Issues
While Washington is awash in scandal and news broke that Democrats wanted the IRS to probe tax-exempt political groups, Mark Pryor is talking about… football… grilling… and his favorite movie. Sounds about right for someone who is looking to hide his liberal voting record from constituents.
Andrew Grossman on Obama’s War on Liberty
On today’s edition of Coffee and Markets, Brad Jackson and Ben Domenech are joined by Andrew Grossman to discuss news that the NSA is monitoring phone records of Verizon customers, the legal action that Tea Party groups may be able to take against the IRS, and the trouble Eric Holder is facing for his involvement in the scandal at DOJ.
