2015 Could Be an Historical Inflection Point
There have been certain years in US History where something finally just had to give. 1861, 1929, and 1968 all come immediately to mind. In each scenario, a major societal institution* reached a point where it provided obviously diminished marginal returns if not outright economic failure. This forced Americans to do something we have always pretty much hated doing and significantly change certain aspects of | Read More »
The #PeoplesClimate March exposes the Climate Campaign for the Socialists they are
This past Friday, just over 300,000 people gathered in New York City* for a “People’s Climate March” to push the climate change/global warming agenda forward, and over the weekend, the related “Flood Wall Street” protest developed on its heels. Among the more notable attendees were Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, and Edward Norton. If the media had any honesty, what we would have heard from the major | Read More »
A Marxist Mistake? AFL-CIO Pushes Get Out The Vote For Mid-Terms Under Soviet-Style Symbol
In 1997, shortly after current AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka, along with then-president John Sweeney, took over the AFL-CIO, America’s oldest labor federation lifted the ban on Communists. Nearly two decades later, as Republicans, Democrats and Independents gear up for this fall’s mid-term elections, the special interest group—indirectly funded by union members’ dues—has launched a “get out the vote” page with a symbol that is eerily | Read More »
Memo To The Nation Magazine: The Government Does Not Owe You Employment.
10 For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 I read something really hilarious. It almost convinced me that all the really good comedians were leftists. “…the US government can easily afford a Job guarantee (JG) program, becoming our employer of last resort.” Says The Nation Magazine. Man, those writers | Read More »
Wealth cannot be destroyed with surgical precision
The worse things look for global-warming hysterics, the more shrill and offensive they become. We’ve got Al Gore comparing himself to Martin Luther King Jr. (immediately after saying he would never make such a comparison, of course) and MSNBC host Chris Hayes explicitly comparing “climate deniers” to Civil War-era slave masters (immediately after saying he would never make such a comparison, of course.) The only | Read More »
Picking Apart Thomas Piketty
On today’s edition of Coffee and Markets, Brad Jackson and Ben Domenech are joined by Francis Cianfrocca to discuss Thomas Piketty’s popular new book on income inequality, his Marxist view of the world and what the rich in America fear may be coming.

Thomas Piketty, Jedediah Purdy And The Leftist Ethic of Resentfulness
We need a foundation of political equality and social guarantees: education, personal security, health care for those who need it, and the expectation of a fair retirement. Jedediah Purdy, The Daily Beast The quote above gives you the typical entitled attitude of the Modern Leftist. They need everything. Human life didn’t really exist on Earth before these things were all available. The world is really | Read More »
SEIU Teams With Socialists, Other Marxist “Revolutionaries” In Appalachia
There was a time, when labor’s leaders realized the dangers inherent with socialism—and later, communism. Apparently, those days are long gone. The following paragraph is a quoted from the socialist-run Workers World: A coalition of activists from Fight Imperialism, Stand Together (FIST), Workers World Party, Students for Appalachian Socialism, the Jewel City Solidarity Network and Service Employees union Local 32BJ held a public meeting on | Read More »
If you were thinking the great “income inequality” crusade was a veiled effort to bring back Marxism, you’re dead wrong. It’s not veiled at all. The Left’s academic brigades are giddy with delight that a modified version of Marxist theory is gaining purchase among Western politicians, who of course are themselves very happy to embrace a philosophy that serves as the gateway to unlimited power. Marx | Read More »
Obama’s Inequality Sophistry Is a Recipe for Misery
Inequality sucks when you’re on the wrong side of the greater than symbol. I’ve been there before and can empathize. However, a government aimed at ending inequality is unpractical, immoral and an aberration against the laws of nature. This sort of government is impractical because you cannot make the lowest and least motivated get off their butt in a nation where slavery has been abolished. People will ultimately only rise as high as they are willing. This push to unconditionally end inequality is immoral because it rewards the slack and the expense of both the willing and the most capable. It punishes the continued exertion of both will and ability. It is unnatural because it believes that a world of totally equal and totally unmotivated people will magically generate the capital necessary to create jobs for all the new recipients of equality being born every day. This doesn’t happen – job creation is a function of capital accumulation. Therefore President Obama may mean well by ending inequality, but he isn’t even remotely oriented in the right direction to improve America’s economic future.

The real class war
Somehow Marxist class theory has been written into American politics at the genetic level. It’s easy to understand why politicians, especially the dedicated Big Government types, want us to think this way. We never should have played along. But we did, so now Americans view themselves as a great, shapeless, saintly Middle Class, floating above a shadowy Lower Class from which we have no right | Read More »
Agenda: How Marxists Are Grinding America Down
“They had a three part agenda. They would use their manpower, influence and funds to back anything that would destroy our families, businesses and culture.”

Dog Bites Man. Man Bites Back: The UAW’s King made Michigan’s Right-To-Work bed.
As union bosses–like Teamsters’ boss Jimmy P. Hoffa–begin to see their financial coffers dwindle next year, they shouldn’t blame Republicans for Michigan’s “civil war.”
It was the UAW’s Bob King who fired the first shot.

How do you think the spin is going to go when the LSM’s (Lame Stream Media) ‘Chosen One’ sails off to Valhalla, or wherever it is they farm out old worn-out commie ideologues? Obama Should Be limited to One Term
Representation of Marx, Engels, and Lenin-in that order. America cannot take another 4 years of socialism, laced with Marxism. If Obama is re-elected for 4 more years, we are to be collected in the dustbin of our Forefathers, and the waste can of historical documents. That waste can will contain our Declaration, and our Constitution. Our government will run our county. Free enterprise, capitalism, | Read More »
