BREAKING: Charlottesville Mayor Reports One Dead After Car Plowed into Demonstrators

Charlottesville mayor Mike Signer tweeted minutes ago that one person was killed when a car plowed into a crowd of protestors. He is also urging demonstrators and onlookers to go home for their own safety.

There are also reports that the driver of the car is in custody; police have yet to confirm that, but we stay on top of the story.

I am heartbroken that a life has been lost here. I urge all people of good will–go home.
