Even if by some miracle and they don’t cave to the Democrats like they usually do we’re still talking about baby steps.

How do get smaller government if you NEVER CUT FROM CURRENT SPENDING?

How do we stop the ever growing debt if we NEVER STOP BORROWING?

I got an answer for you. WE DON’T!

I’m tired of the excuses. I’m tired of so called reductions in spending increases instead of actual spending cuts. I’m tired of the fact that Washington’s only answer is to borrow more money but actually living within ones means is an idea that’s not worthy of being on the table. I’m tired of 10, 20, and 30 years plans to eventually balance the budget when everyone knows nobody can make such a thing stick.

Baby steps. WE DON’T HAVE TIME FOR BABY STEPS! THE DEBT CEILING SHOULD NOT BE RAISED!

It’s time for Uncle Sam to tighten the belt instead of whipping out his charge card again.

all you have to do is hold the spending constant (or even let it grow at a rate less than GDP grows) and you will reduce government as a percentage of the economy.

Imagine a scenario where you are a married man.

What if your wife was getting on your case about the grass being too high and some bushes were getting a bit overgrown and said you needed to mow the yard and trim the hedges?

Also, lets say that you came up with the bright idea that if you just stopped watering the yard then you won’t need to mow and trim because the grass and bushes rate of growth would be decreased.

Do you think she would agree with your bright idea? NO! Because it’s already TO HIGH TO BEGIN WITH and you need to get out and do some yard-work.

Government and weeds both have as it’s nature the inclination to grow out of control. It’s time to actually do some trimming.

Your excuses wouldn’t work on your wife. They sure don’t work on actual Conservatives who are sick and tired of lip service from the Republican Party about smaller government and fiscal responsibility. The time for talking is over. THEY NEED TO GET TO WORK!
