this reason is because we spent three years telling people that Washington was full of people who use power to enrich themselves and advance the power of the federal government over the people and the states. I’ve listened to the people who told the country that the lobbyist and the big government types have ruined the country. Republicans seem to think the majority of the country dislikes Obama because of who he is, or that their disappointment with the Democrats because they really care about policy as much as they care about the economy improved. We are offering up two people as front runners that epitomize the very thing we have convinced so many people that are wrong for the country. We are showing the American people that we are more concerned that we have a candidate that can give quick quips instead of steady leadership. The media likes to paint the American people that its style that gets people elected, but in reality the American people tend to support someone they think they can trust.

Newt – Rand Paul said it best today when he stated that Newt is the very thing he was sent to Washington to stop, and he is right about this. How can we expect the American people to trust us when our words seemingly have no real meaning beyond getting our side elected. It look like the entire reason we oppose Obama is based on him being a Democrat and not because he has been part of the culture of corruption. The country will get behind a conservative Republican if that person is known to have character and a record of getting things done on the jobs front. It is not the slick politician that is going to help us beat Obama, the media wanted people to think that to help Romney, not because they felt it mattered. Bush got elected because he seemed real, not because he was the smartest in the room. We as conservatives need to really think hard about what is going on in this race.

You know center77, you are just so typical of all the GOP voters in the land. You are complaining about Newt and all the other candidates and can’t find any reason to be POSITIVE! Well, the first caucus votes don’t take place until 1/3/2012 in Iowa and the process will go on through Sping 2012! if you don’t like Newt, Perry, Romney, Paul, Huntsman, Bachmann, Santorum, Gary Johnson, Buddy Roemer, then you have a real dilemma. Your choice can be Obama or None of the Above. For me, I’m going to whole heartedly support the most CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATE I believe is out there in this PRIMARY SEASON and I’m doing it with my time and my money, what are you doing? Instead of being NEGATIVE, NEGATIVE, NEGATIVE, I am trying my best to get my candidate with a POSITIVE ATTITUDE! And in the end, I will vote for the other than Obama candidate in 2012. Meanwhile, I am going to do my best to find a primary opponent for my congressman and my senators come the next cycle and do my canvassing and persuading of the people in my local precinct and local party over the next year to my best to LET ALL POTENTIAL VOTERS KNOW THAT MORE THAN ONE CANDIDATE EXIXT and give them information about those candidates so that they will agree with me when it comes time to vote next time that the Faux conservatives, RINOs, incumbent blowhards will be defeated and new people get a try at it!

This is not an endorsement of NEWT, but NEWT does tell his audence and donors that he doesn’t just want their money and their votes and then go back to sleep until the next elections, but he wants PEOPLE TO STAND WITH HIM to FIGHT THE PROGRESSIVE, MARXISTS, SOCIALISTS, COMMUNIST, Democrats and Republicans that are in our legislative and judicial systems today and reverse the course of disaster for the USA and all of us that has been going on since the 1960s!

Can you, center77, get a POSITIVE attitude and support your candidate STRONGLY and positively support the GOP nominee in November 2012? If not, whay are you even commenting on Redstate?

does have a candidate and voices it regularly here on RS. Just a suggestion – a kinder tone might suit you better.

he has a very good Perry blog that he runs while a student as well. He has a candidate!

Not the general! There’s so much negativity going on because we’re trying to weed out all the undesirables. We’re looking into everyone’s closets to make sure they will be good candidates. If they can’t pass the test then out they go (see: Herman Cain). I’ve just decide to get used to the negative stories because I know that they’ll last to the nomination and beyond. Which means I need tough skin. Could never be married to a politician…don’t know how Miss Anita does it.

has a real chance, but if he’s not careful, his arrogance may get the best of him. All politicians are to some degree or another-it’s pretty much required- but he should also remember the fates of his fellow candidates. It could happen to him as well and polls don’t mean too much at this stage in the game.

555 for your remark on polls. We’ll see how accurate they are come January 3.

actually just listen to the podcast.

There is no other candidate that actually has thought through these vital things that need to be fixed except Gingrich.

I really don’t understand the blase lets look at other stuff attitude. Everything addressed in this interview is vital to our survival and are being addressed with knowledge and workable solutions.

Where is the common sense attitude Americans are known for?

  • tea4me

You couldn’t have listened to what Gingrich just said and not come to the same conclusion you just did. These people are “in the football vernacular” homers to their candidate and narrow minded vision of what they are seeking. They all buy into the rino and liberal sound bites about Gingrich and simply take them as their gospel. When given the opportunity to explain himself, Gingrich always has a sound conservative response to his critics and criticisms. But that’s their problem. If you never listen…you never hear.
