I do not see the economic data the same way. I do not see the glass as half empty…I see it as almost totally empty. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/part-time-economy-redux When it happens is uncertain…but it is going to happen.

sell-outs to MSM pals they desperately wish to be respected by.

Seen Gallup 9.1%? Seen the anemic GDP for the past year?

Seriously Redstate, has CNN bought stock here?

And I know that Ben knows better, as does EE. But I also understand wanting good relations in the green room and/or Georgetown cocktail party peace….sad

But geez, Mike, if we have to post that five times in the same thread to convince people of that we’re massively screwed in November anyway.

Anyway, the public decides whether the economy is good based on how their neighbors and they themselves are doing, not any numbers from any government report.

That being said, I think independents and swing voters who voted for Obama the first time around will want to give him another chance this year, so long as they can see the situation as starting to improve. This will be especially true if the unable-to-connect Mitt Romney is our nominee.

The econmy still sags, the 8.3% is all too familiar, food & gas prices continue to rise, and WOW, everythings coming up roses.
Media control over the years has sapped more than just the average guy who barely follows politics.
A bit of irony with the Greece follow up story.

      Astounding!

That headline got a WTH from me too.

that the consumer confidence will remain too good. Despite any kind of economic indicators, I think $5.00 gas and rising food prices will trump any kind of anemic growth blown out of proportion by MSM chumps. Let’s revisit this economic/consumer confidence discussion in September and see how we look. Plus we give Greece more time to implode, as the cautionary tale of where Italy, Spain, and eventually WE are heading if we don’t stop rising debt.

We know which way this is going with Obama and his phony jobs numbers and manipulated unemployment figures. Unemployment is going to continue to slowly drop all the way to November, jobs are going to grow right through the fall, and it will be nothing but bright, shiny optimism for B. Hussein Obama and the whining progressives. These jobs numbers make me sick to my stomach, and the sooner we can get John Boehner to stop tweeting and spouting off about “where are the jobs?” the better it will be for the GOP. Gas is the issue we need to run with to the election. The $5.00 gallon needs to be the bogeyman in the closet. Jobs numbers aren’t going to cut it. Neither is the threat of terrorism or Iran. Price of gas at the pump is going to resonate, ultimately, and it would be nice if Mitt “I don’t care how much gas costs” Romney wasn’t the messenger.
