The Rock Body Slams Snowflakes and PC Culture

Can You Smell The Snowflakes The Rock Is Cooking?

Well, this might hurt a bit from one of the biggest movies stars of the past year.

In an interview posted today over at the Daily Star former WWE Superstar (that means he was a wrestler) has come out against the ultra-hyper P.C. culture that has developed in America.

He called out the snowflakes.

According to the interview

F1 banned the much-loved Grid Girls over sexism fears, uni leaders banned clapping in case it upset soft students and there was outcry when equality fools demanded a re-branding of the tasty treats to “Gingerbread People”.

He said: “I don’t have to agree with what somebody thinks, who they vote for, what they voted for, what they think, but I will back their right to say or believe it.

“That’s democracy.

“So many good people fought for freedom and equality – but this generation are looking for a reason to be offended.

Damn.

Now, as a rule, I generally don’t give a hoot in hades what the celeb class thinks. Way too many times people on the conservative side of the spectrum are so starved for anyone in Hollywood that is not over 70 to have similar views. When they find one, they hoist this person up as some beacon of virtue.

This interests me for a specific reason.

The free speech restrictions crowd have been out in full force for a number of years and they have been successful at stifling speech. We have all seen the protests of people like Ben Shapiro at college campuses forcing cancellations or violence erupting just on the basis of someone thinking differently.

Even in the world of comedy where pushing the envelope has always been embraced, comedians such as Jerry Seinfeld and Chris Rock have commented on the deteriorating environment and overzealous P.C. Culture. When comedians can’t joke about hot button topics without being protested and harassed we are truly losing ground.

That Dwayne Johnson, who is at the top of his game in Hollywood, has come out to call this gross mindset out is….refreshing. He has not made the oodles of money that Seinfeld and Rock have and he could potentially damage his future earning potential. Plus he has a brand new T.V. show out and you know how the grumpy kids love to go after advertisers of things they don’t agree with.

Let’s see if the Rock cracks and apologizes to the very snowflakes he criticized.
