The longest truck convoy in the history of the world continues to wind its way through the enormous country of Canada to the capital of Ottawa. According to Canadian journalist Andrew Lawton, the length of the convoy is up to 45-miles long, and the majority of the participants plan to arrive tomorrow, Saturday the 29th.

A quick recap from an article I posted earlier this week on what is going on: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Has a Massive Protest Brewing Over His Jab Mandate

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeaus’ government dropped the hammer on Canadian truckers being mandated to be poked last January 15th and Joe Biden ordered the same for truckers here this past Saturday the 22nd.

According to an article from Canada, the Canadian truckers are not taking this well.

“We are taking our fight to the doorsteps of our Federal Government and demanding that they cease all mandates against its people,” wrote Go Fund Me organizer Tamara Lich. “Small businesses are being destroyed, homes are being destroyed, and people are being mistreated and denied fundamental necessities to survive.”

The decision for Canadian truckers to meet in Ottawa to protest the vaccine mandate comes as the industry struggles with issues , such as disruptions to the supply chain and a shortage of drivers.

The federal vaccine mandate could result in a loss of 12,000 to 16,000 cross-border commercial drivers, according to the Canadian Trucking Alliance .

The mandate came into effect on Jan. 15, which means Canadian truckers must show proof of vaccination to avoid taking COVID-19 tests before reaching the border. They will also have to quarantine when they return from the United States. American truckers who are unvaccinated will not be allowed to enter.

On Wednesday, a group of truck drivers protested the mandate at the US-Manitoba international border, blocking the highway and slowing traffic.

Now with the news that the Canadian Prime Minister is in COVID isolation after blasting the trucker convoy on Wednesday as a small and fringe movement not representing the majority of Canadians, the stage is set for the weekend where possibly 50,000 trucks and 500,000 people converge on a city of just under one million.

Mainstream Canadian media is doing their best impersonations of CNN and MSNBC by stating that the protesters are coming to imitate the Jan 6th event in Washington, D.C., back in  2021. Yet, Canada is not the United States and trying to compare the two is a wasted exercise. Canada is much more laid back and this trucker’s convoy is just about the most Canadian thing her citizens could do. Peacefully undertake a road trip to politely let their elected officials know in Ottawa that it might be time to roll back the nanny state of COVID overreach.

The video I have linked below shows a nation of people sitting on the side of roads and on overpasses, cheering on those who are motoring to peacefully assemble in their capital. These folks have water and food for those travelers that have already driven thousands of miles, in some cases, to bolster them. They may be hell-bent on change, but they are not angry about it; they are acting like this is a big pep rally, and the video confirms that. I have never seen so many people standing in freezing weather smiling and laughing, unless it was a winter event for your kids.

The quote I started this article with is just one of the many signs along the roads of our neighbor to the north, and it fits the mood of this movement perfectly. Asking for God’s blessing to keep Canada glorious and free. I ask for the same blessing for the United States and hope that the rumors are true of American truckers heading to join their Canadian brethren to peacefully petition the government to redress their grievances.

May the Lord watch over and protect these amazing patriots and keep them safe during this amazing time.

If you get a chance, check out my conversation with Lawton on what is happening from a view on the ground in the Great White North.
