Democrats Only Have 143 Days to Get Joe to Step Aside Before South Carolina Primary

Now that fall is here in the Midwest with the dropping temperatures and the beginning of the NFL season, the countdown to the primaries is just around the corner. They start in January and February of 2024 and could set up a potential rematch of 2020 with Joe Biden versus Donald Trump.

Don't tell me you can't feel the excitement.

As I was perusing the pages of RedState earlier in the day, I came across an article that I found very interesting by my colleague Becky Noble. She laid out an interesting case that the 4th Estate may be getting a tad bit nervous with Scranton Joe actually thinking he should run for a second term. Here is her article and an excerpt from it.

In Love Letter to Biden, the Washington Post Gives Away Democrat Secrets

But sometimes, even the love-lorn have doubts and fears, and that's when they give away what is going on behind the scenes. In speaking about the Biden-Harris administration and all of its greatness, the true nature of what Joe Biden's job was in 2020 is right there in black and white. Ignatius writes, "But if he and Harris campaign together in 2024, I think Biden risks undoing his greatest achievement — which was stopping Trump." Wait a minute, I thought Joe Biden's main task was to be a uniter and bring the country together. Do you mean all he was supposed to do was stop Trump? Many may have suspected as much, but there it is. So, Joe has done what he was sent in there to do; now what? Well, as is often the case with Democrats, they either cannot or will not look much beyond next week. Joe Biden's real accomplishments have gone something like this: 40-year high inflation, substantial increases in prices at the grocery store and the gas pump, two-thirds of Americans living paycheck-to-paycheck, rampant increases in crime, and America appearing weak abroad.

Other secrets are revealed as well. Even Democrats can no longer ignore the fact that Joe Biden is old. If he is reelected, he will be 86 years old at the end of his second term. That makes a whole lot of Americans uncomfortable. A recent Associated Press-NORC poll showed that 77 percent of Americans think Joe Biden is too old for the job, including 69 percent of Democrats. Combine that with his wandering off stages, rambling incoherent sentences, and telling the same untrue stories over and over. While they might not say it out loud, Democrats know this is a real problem.

So you mean there are members of the press that are not in some sort of weird matrix of Kool-Aid delusions like our pals over at MSNBC that my colleague Mike Miller wrote about this past Monday? I'll be darned. WATCH: 'Morning Joe' Suspends Disbelief, Claims It's Trump, not Biden, Who's Not 'All There'

Becky correctly points out that the slope is getting slippery with the Biden White House and Democrats in general when you have rising inflation, gas prices hovering much higher than they were in January 2021, and more Americans than ever living paycheck to paycheck.

So why would the press start to get worried about all this and start dissing the person who saved them all from a second Trump term?

The Democrat primary in South Carolina is on February 3rd, which is a mere 143 days away.

Now let's just put aside that Democrats in both Iowa and New Hampshire are livid that Biden gave the green light to bump up South Carolina before those two first traditional states and probably would vote for themselves before him.

Also, let's just assume that Joe Biden is never going to breathe the same air as Robert Kennedy Jr. in a debate. Joe might have had a conversation with the bust of Kennedy's dad in the Oval Office, but that is a story for another time.

Are Democrats from South Carolina and beyond really going to hold their noses in a PRIMARY and happily vote for Joe?

Aside from the liberal talking heads over at Morning Joe, most Democrats will now happily skip a discussion about Biden and talk about their last root canal before diving into the President's latest gaffe or discussing how the country is actually doing.

The mainstream media not only reads their own polling, but they see the breakdowns that they rarely report and they are flat-out scared. As my colleague Jeff Charles explained the other day in his post, Democrats Are Terrified About the 2024 Election. The Numbers Will Tell You Why:

Donald Trump is polling even with President Joe Biden in a likely 2024 rematch, sparking mixed feelings among Democrats 14 months from Election Day. Some are alarmed by the neck-and-neck race, while Biden campaign officials and other allies downplay the recent polls as meaningless this early in the cycle.

But there’s one thing Democratic strategists agree on: An insurrection scheme and a torrent of criminal charges won’t be enough to stop the former president and runaway Republican primary front-runner from returning to the White House.

“Despite awaiting trial on 91 felony counts, Trump is a coin flip away from the presidency,” Dan Pfeiffer, a former adviser to President Barack Obama, wrote. “Because of the Electoral College and our highly polarized politics, we should assume that every presidential election will depend on a number of voters smaller than the attendees at a Taylor Swift concert.”

A CNN poll released Thursday found Trump leading Biden by 1 point, 47% to 46%. A Wall Street Journal survey published Sept. 3 found them tied at 46% each. A New York Times/Siena College poll taken in late July found Biden and Trump tied at 43% apiece. The former president is currently polling stronger against Biden than he did at any point in 2020, when he trailed by as many as 10 points and never came within 3 points in the FiveThirtyEight average.

There you have it.

The secret of what the media is terrified of is that Joe is not getting any sharper, and the clock is running out on when they can pull the ripcord of the Biden presidency and eject Joe, back to wherever he lives when he's not roaming the White House looking for some good ice cream.

My colleague Scott Hounsell and I have been talking on the RedState VIP Gold Show about the time Joe has left before he does a Nixon-like wave, stumbles up the stairs of Marine One, and leaves the South Lawn for the last time as POTUS.
