Israel, while continuing operations against Hamas terrorists in Gaza, has not been ignoring threats along its other borders, particularly Lebanon, home of the terror group Hezbollah. On Friday, as Americans observed Veterans Day, Israel's Defense Minister Yoav Gallant warned an increasingly restive Hezbollah against making what he termed a "grave mistake."

As Hezbollah continues to carry out attacks on northern Israel, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant warns that the terror group is “close to making a grave mistake” that will end with Beirut residents fleeing their homes.

“I am saying here to the citizens of Lebanon, I already see the citizens in Gaza walking with white flags along the coast and moving south,” says Gallant during a visit to an army base on the northern border.

“Hezbollah is dragging Lebanon into a war that may happen, and it is making mistakes,” he says.

“If it makes mistakes of this kind, the ones who will pay the price are first of all the citizens of Lebanon. What we are doing in Gaza we know how to do in Beirut,” Gallant warns.

While some may be concerned about the prospect of Israel taking on a two-front conflict, Gallant, who one would presume is as aware of Israel's military capacities as anyone, exuded confidence on the matter, asserting that Israel's air power alone has plenty of capacity to handle Hezbollah should the need arise.

He says that the Israeli Air Force is using less than a tenth of its power in the Gaza Strip.

“Our pilots are sitting in the cockpit, the noses of the planes are pointing north. We have enough to do in the south, but the Air Force is facing north and its power is very great,” he adds.

Again, the message is clear, as it has been for some time now: The gloves are off. Israel shows every sign of pursuing Hamas to the terror group's destruction.

In other news from the conflict, the IDF is said to be closing in on Gaza's Shifa Hospital in fierce fighting. Hamas's primary headquarters is reportedly underneath the hospital; this fits the pattern of Hamas using human shields, as they hide beneath a hospital, its staff, and its patients. The IDF also reports capturing key Hamas outposts, in the process turning approximately 150 bad terrorists into good terrorists. Operations to date have cost the IDF 42 soldiers killed in ground operations to date. Meanwhile, as my colleague Jeff Charles informed us Saturday morning, Hamas appears to be firing on Gazans who are attempting to leave the battlefield.

Here in the United States, the Biden Administration's support for Israel has been tepid at best, even as some members of the President's party are supporting the Middle East's only democracy more openly. It seems, however, that Israel will continue their present course, with or without anyone's support.
