VIDEO: FLA Gov Schools Reporter Who Asks Him To ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY in Orlando Terror Because Guns!

Florida Governor Rick Scott didn’t let this liberal reporter bog him down in some back and forth about who has the most feels. He told her the facts straight up, right to her face. That’s exactly what politicians and elected officials who actually care about the Second Amendment should do instead of demanding meetings with the NRA to plead the liberal case.

CNN’S PAMELA BROWN: President Obama has been very outspoken against gun control opponents, and he said he dares them to meet with the victims and see if that doesn’t change their views on gun control. Has it changed your views at all, this experience, meeting with the victims, and the fact that it’s easier to walk out with an AR-15 in the state of Florida than a handgun?

GOV. RICK SCOTT: Well, nobody would think that anybody on a terror watch list should have a gun, right? That should .. We all can agree that we don’t want somebody who’s going to do something like that to be walking around with any weapons. But the Second Amendment didn’t kill anybody. This is ISIS. This is evil. This is radical Islam. I’m tired of what’s going on in our country. We’re not focused enough on ISIS. We had Steven Sotloff, a journalist beheaded in 2014. And he was from Miami. Now we have 49 people slaughtered right here. When are we going to say to ourselves as a country, enough is enough? Let’s focus on destroying ISIS.

First she implies that he should now have a different view on gun control because he met with the victims, buying Obama’s line that supporting gun rights means you lack empathy. Then, as the Free Beacon points out, she goes even further by actual asking him to accept responsibility!

My law enforcement sources, though, tell me that while ISIS may have played a role, there were other factors at play that he recently became radicalized,” Brown said. “So, again, my question is: Yes, ISIS, terrorism could be to blame for this, but can you accept any responsibility for the gun laws here in Florida? The fact that it is easier to walk out of a gun store in a half hour with an AR-15 that can kill more people faster than a pistol. Yet it’s harder to get a pistol than an AR-15.

The premise that she buys and is parroting, and which is being repeated by Democrats to any camera they can weasel in front of, is that availability of weapons is to blame for the terror attack. As if that is the motivation: because it is there. And now she is asking him to take responsibility for that death-causing availability.

Folks, the CNN reporter is suggesting that Gov. Scott is responsible for the deaths in Orlando and asking him on air to own up to that.

Gov. Scott, though, clears that nonsense right up:

Let’s remember, the Second Amendment has been around for over 200 years. It didn’t .. you know, that’s not what killed innocent people; evil killed innocent people. There’s going to be a time to have a conversation about what we do to make our state, our city, our country safer again. But let’s have a conversation about how we destroy ISIS. Where’s that conversation? Why are we not having that conversation? What are we doing?

The he takes her to class about real solutions, like information sharing and security measures and accountability and, in response, the reporter nods her either empty or stubborn (or both) head and then repeats her same talking point. She simply refuses to acknowledge the person who committed this terror attack, the ideology that motivated him, or the ways in which we can take real steps to prevent people like Mateen from attacking in the future, and instead glues herself to the “but GUNS111!!!!” narrative, like every other well-behaved, dumb, talking points-spewing robot on the air.

Gov. Scott didn’t let her get away with it. Which is the only way to do it. Don’t attack the NRA with lefty talking points (the way the guy Scott endorsed did). Attack the narrative. Stick to your guns, as it were.
