President Trump Responds to the Idiocy of Andrew Cuomo's '[America] Was Never That Great' Comment

Last Wednesday, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo gave a lot of voters a fantastic reason not to elect him to any office ever again.

During a speech about sex equality and women, he let these words escape from his pie hole:

“We’re not going to make America great again. It was never that great.”

I must say — while I’ve heard similar statements from the young, emotionally unstable, and ignorant, I didn’t expect such a thing from an adult politician.

He continued:

“We have not reached greatness. We will reach greatness when every American is fully engaged.”

What does that even mean?

“We will reach greatness when discrimination and stereotyping of women, 51% of our population, is gone…”

What stereotypes? Secondly, Cuomo thinks the defining trait of a great nation is…a lack of stereotypes????

Is he really that immature?

“…and every woman’s full potential is realized and unleashed and every woman is making her full contribution.”

Okay. So that’s the defining measure of greatness — every woman, unleashed. Said a politician. At a speech to women.

Coincidence?

Well…given that Cuomo’s statement was, at least in part, a jab at the President, Trump decided to respond Tuesday.

At a rally in West Virginia for senatorial candidate Patrick Morrisey, the Leader of the Free World called Cuomo’s anti-American statement “career-threatening.”

Trump also commented on the context of the governor’s denigration of the nation:

“How’d he get away with that one? He was speaking to a room loaded up with socialists.”

The Commander-in-Chief pointed out that to put down the greatness of America is to defame its veterans:

“His comments are an insult to the generations of brave Americans whose blood and sweat and tears built our magnificent country.”

Indeed.

Additionally, Donald J. suggested Andrew’s disparagement should be the Dems’ new slogan:

“That’s going to be their theme now — ‘America was never great.’ Let’s give them a new theme. ‘America was never great.'”

Increasingly, it seems to fit the party.
