New Zealand Ambassador: No Credibility to Murderer's Mention of Trump as 'Symbol of White Identity'

On Sunday, U.S. ambassador to New Zealand, Scott Brown, appeared on CNN’s State of the Union with Jake Tapper, where he insisted there’s no merit to Friday’s two-mosque mass murderer referring to Donald Trump as a symbol of “white identity”:

“I don’t give any credibility whatsoever to the ramblings somebody who’s rotten to the core and clearly is an extremist of the worst kind who could walk into two mosques and, without any care whatsoever, kill people. I don’t give any credibility to it. I’m not going to read it. I encourage others not to read it. I’m not going to give him the time of day.”

In other words, he’s an freaking psycho, so who gives a crap what he says? He represents nothing and no one but an insane murderer.

Many on the Left, however, will surely care. And they’ll no doubt insist upon a continuance of blaming Trump for horrors in the world. Right or wrong — such as here, here, and here.

With regard to “[reading] it,” Scott was referring to the email manifesto sent to NZ media and politicians — including Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern — just minutes before the deadly attack.

As part of the diatribe, the murder suspect called Trump a “symbol of renewed white identity and common purpose.” However, the alleged shooter clarified, he doesn’t support the President as a “policy maker and leader.”

In response to the murders, The Donald asserted the white nationalism isn’t a growing threat:

“I think it’s a small group of people that have very, very serious problems. It’s certainly a terrible thing.”

Jake asked Scott if he concurs.

His response:

“I have been here almost for two years — I haven’t seen it here. That’s why it’s a little bit numbing. I’m trying to come up with words…as to how I and others feel here right now.”
