It’s a fight!

Between Behar and McCain.

If you ain’t heard, Meghan McCain is no fan of President Trump.

To hear her tell it, her late POW/senator father was a great man, and Trump’s nothin’ but a chump:

“He spends his weekend obsessing over wonderful, great men because he knows it, and I know it, and all of you know it: He will never be a great man.”

“My father was his kryptonite in life and his kryptonite in death.”

“And I just thought, ‘Your life is spent on weekends not with your family, not with your friends, but obsessing, obsessing, over great men you could never live up to.’ That tells you everything you needed to know about his pathetic life.”

So her attitude toward the impeachment of said lousy dude might not be the most unbiased.

But what about where veterans are concerned?

Meghan said nobody should be questioning the loyalties of decorated servicepeople such as Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman — he was set to testify before the House Intelligence Committee in a hearing regarding the “I” word:

“[T]hese are all soldiers…who have fought and sacrificed and served for this country. We should not be questioning their loyalty. People who put their life on the line for America and for freedom. Their loyalty to America should not be questioned, and I’m not gonna sit here and do it.”

Joy interjected:

“Hold on a second — just because somebody served does not, ipso facto, make them above reproach.”

Joy’s not wrong. Consider:

But Meghan wasn’t budging:

“For me, where I come from, it does. I’m sorry, serving in Iraq in a war zone as a medic and what he did as well — by the way, his brother, Alexander Vindman, also served and both of them have Purple Hearts. I don’t understand, for me, yeah, you get a pass for a lot of reasons —”

“Automatically?” Joy questioned.

Yep:

“If you’re putting your life on the line for freedom, the soldiers in this country and veterans and people who have lived and fought for freedom get a pass from me.”

Co-host Abby Huntsman chimed in, “At least they deserve the benefit of the doubt.”

Whoopi had to stop everyone, as words were just crashing into each other at the table.

And that’s called “Daytime Talk Shows.”

Meghan wouldn’t admit Joy was right, but she conceded I am:

“Well, it’s The View.”

It sure is.

For more on the situation with LTC Vindman, here’s NBC News:

Top Democrats at the deposition of Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, the top Ukraine expert on the National Security Council, said his testimony Tuesday was “extremely disturbing” and praised him for appearing despite attacks from the White House.

Vindman, appearing voluntarily under congressional subpoena, was set to tell members of Congress conducting an impeachment inquiry of President Donald Trump that he was on the phone call between Trump and Ukraine’s leader in which Trump asked for an investigation into the Bidens — and that he raised concerns about it.

Vindman considered Trump’s request that Ukraine investigate his political rivals so damaging to American national security that he reported it to a superior, according to his opening statement obtained by NBC News.
