On Thursday night, Donald Trump Jr. offered a Happy Birthday message to The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg (and I’d like to wish her one as well).

But Don did it with a twist. Of the knife?

It went a little somethin’ like this:

“Happy Birthday Whoopi! Give my best to your fugitive friend Roman! And thanks for hating on me and KG so much, it got me to #1 NYT best seller. You’re welcome for the highest ratings in months, perhaps have someone on the show who doesn’t hate America? #TRIGGERED #1”

I can’t tell if that’s done with a certain friendliness or something other than.

As you might’ve seen, Jr.’s time with the girls wasn’t exactly a group back-scratch.

In case you missed it:

More on the blackface notion:

Here’s more, with a snippet of Don Jr. talking about his prep:

That clip at the end was from an interview included in its entirety at the bottom of this article, wherein Don indicates that Whoopi would neither shake his hand nor say his last name at the show.

Perhaps that partly fueled his birthday gratitude.

Interestingly, Don reported he’d been asked onto the program to promote his book; yet, he was never asked about it.

Regardless, as I covered here, the book’s at #1.

Here’s an enthusiastic crowd out on the trail with Jr. as he promotes Triggered: How the Left Thrives on Hate and Wants to Silence Us:

Hey — is that Whoopi in the parking lot?

Nah — probably not.

Maybe it was Joy as “a beautiful African woman.”
