An Offer He Can't Refuse: Rudy Giuliani Is Standing by His Friend Trump, and the Dems Can Try to 'Execute' Him - but the Mafia Already Tried

If you’re aimin’ to whack former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, you should know the attorney for the President’s been there, done that.

Those founding-document-trashin’ Democrats wish to take the guy out, and he explained the whole thing to a crowd at Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit Thursday:

“The whole impeachment process just trashed the Constitution. No right to counsel, no right to call witnesses, no right of confrontation, no right to even have your lawyer there and investigate all the lawyers.”

As for 86’ing the lawyer for 45:

“They wanna put (Attorney General Bill) Barr in prison, and they wanna execute me.”

Bold claim.

If true, the party of the donkey’ll have to get in line:

“Good luck, by the way. The Mafia tried that, and the FARC — the Mafia, the FARC (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia), and the word you can’t say — Islamic extremist terrorists — have all taken out contracts of one kind or another to kill me. And my answer is, ‘Good luck.’”

Guiliani sounds like quite the gangster himself:

“I just get angrier, and I go after you more.”

He also made clear he’s not afraid of being investigated. He’s standing by his friend of over three decades:

“So, they can investigate me. I joined Donald Trump’s campaign because I was his friend for 20 years — 28 years, I’m now his friend for 31 years. I knew he’d be a good president.”

Why should he be scared? The guy’s no stranger to investigations:

There appears to be a trend in American politics, and it began sometime during the Obama presidency: An extreme component on the Left rises up, and it galvanizes a large portion of American voters.

It’s what, in my view, helped propel Trump to triumph. And it’s a potent fuel even still, bolstering his approval and paving the way to a 2020 victory.

And it’s, in part, what drew Rudy to Donald’s side:

“I really joined earlier than I thought because I was disgusted at the way he was being so unfairly treated, but I will tell you, as a person who is one of his biggest supporters in 2016…as one of his biggest supporters in 2016, as someone who argued for him on television a thousand times, he is a much better president than I ever thought he would be.”

So good, I guess, he’s worth the risk of being executed.

As reported by The Daily Caller, it ain’t the first time RG’s brought up the mob and a hit job:

Giuliani has previously invoked his time investigating the Mafia to compare what he’s doing to go after Joe and Hunter Biden.

In a wild Fox News interview last month, he said on air that he knew the media was going to try to “kill” him over his digging up dirt on the Bidens.

“I expected, the moment I heard Biden’s name, I told my colleagues, they’re going to try to kill me,” he told Ed Henry.

Back to the paradigm of galvanization, I wonder how things would go if the President’s adversaries stopped the absurdity of “Orange is Hitler” and relegated themselves to reason and substantive policy debate.

I wonder, but something tells me I’ll never find out.
