We’ve seen a lot of desperate stunts from Democrat lawmakers over the years in the service of promoting their twisted, dangerous agenda for America…but folks, this video just might take the cake.

RedState has been all over the “For The People Act of 2021,” the name of which couldn’t be more Orwellian if the Dems tried.

We’ve kept hammering S. (Senate Bill) 1 front and center, including in this recent piece by Jennifer Oliver O’Connell about not only this monstrosity, but we sounded an alarm for all Conservatives about the House’s H.R. 842 — the “Protecting the Right to Organize Act of 2019” or PRO Act — the doppelgänger of California’s disastrous job-killer bill, AB5.

As my colleague Nick Arama wrote earlier this morning, Joe Biden and his former colleagues over in the Upper House just got some bad news on S. 1’s potential passage, with West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin (D) giving it a thumbs-down, following word that my state’s senior senator, Arizona’s Kyrsten Sinema, ain’t hopping on board this larded-up, vote grab legislation. Bonchie also has this report on these super-sad times in the Democrat coalition. (cue violins)

But the Dems can’t quit power grab mode, even to their own detriment. Thus, we have this embarrassing example of shilling for votes from former Denver mayor and Colorado governor, Sen. John Hickenlooper (D-Banjo). Oh, and it’s an “original song,” folks. Apologies for the maximum cringe in advance.

Here’s the thing, senator… I hate to suggest that Centennial state voters retain you, but as the old saw goes, keep your day job — or, at the very least, leave the music (and comedy) to professionals like Steve Martin and his award-winning band.
