Anyone who's been following the Trump 47 military efforts to curb illegal drug activity emanating from the alleged Venezuelan "fishing boats," which the Democrats assure everyone contain innocent men just trying to keep a shirt on their back and food on their family's dinner table. The U.S. took down a drug running boat back in early Sept., as my colleague streiff wrote.
It goes hand in hand, of course, with Democrats like Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ), he of the self-righteous "Seditious Six" video, as we covered, which was crafted to degrade the authority of President Trump and Secretary of War Hegseth, and everyone in our active servicemembers' chain of command.

The silver lining here, readers, is that Republicans are not just sitting idly by, even as we inch closer to Congress' Christmas break.
House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R-AL-3) signaled during remarks on the House floor on Wednesday, that Republicans are not about to lie down, and let radical Dems like Sen. Kelly step all over them.
The committee posted a clip of Rep. Roger's statement on X:
🚨From Chairman @RepMikeRogersAL on the boat strikes in the Caribbean Sea:

These strikes are lawful under U.S. and international law and all actions are in compliance with the Law of Armed Conflict.

He said, in part:
These strikes are lawful under U.S. and international law and all actions are in compliance with the Law of Armed Conflict.
But most importantly, these strikes have dramatically reduced drug smuggling operations.
Americans are safer today because of the President of the United States' actions.
Now, it's official. Via a new post on X by the Department of War (DOW), we are learning on Thursday that the GOP committee chair has closed the book on this matter, so to speak, after a classified briefing for the House Republicans:
It's done. pic.twitter.com/U0oWNALjuy
— DOW Rapid Response (@DOWResponse) December 18, 2025
I encourage you to watch that less than two minute clip above. In other words, the House Armed Services folks are not going to go any further with the investigation. As DOW writes, "It's done." While it's unclear where the article shown in the post comes from, Chairman Rogers said something similar on Dec. 9, with House and Senate Dems breathing down his neck (and Leader John Thune's) to hold "a full investigation, including public hearings":
The Republican chair of the House Armed Services Committee said he doesn’t see the need to further investigate a controversial military strike that killed survivors of an attack on an alleged drug running vessel in September.
...
“It’s done,” Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala.) told reporters Tuesday when asked about his next moves to probe the incident. “I’ve got all the answers I needed.”
Not going to happen, lefties. Seems it all could be a moot point soon, with the bad news appearing to fall in heaps on Venezuela's illegitimate regime, and actions the president has ordered in recent days over Maduro's government.

It's doubtful of course that conservatives/Republicans have heard the last of this line of political attack by the Left, so we'll keep you posted on where things go.
