Schiff has doubled down since the summary release of Mueller’s core findings, telling CNN on Monday that there is evidence of collusion “in plain sight.”
This is all pure politics and blatantly so. It’s also reaching the point of insanity. Schiff is firmly in “fire can’t melt steel” territory.
Last night, Trump took his victory lap at a rally in Michigan and he went right at Schiff.
“Many, many people were badly hurt by this scam. But more importantly, our country was hurt. Our country was hurt. And they are on artificial respirators right now. They are getting mouth-to-mouth resuscitation,” Trump began. “Little pencil-neck Adam Schiff. He has the smallest, thinnest neck I’ve ever seen.”
The president continued, “He is not a long ball hitter but I saw him today, ‘Well we don’t really know, there still could have been some Russia collusion.’ Sick, sick. These are sick people and there has to be accountability because it is all lies and they know it’s lies.”
Normally, I’m not a fan of this kind of stuff. But you know what? Go right ahead Mr. President. Schiff deserves no quarter. What he did for the past two years is unconscionable. The lies he told about Devin Nunes, Trey Gowdy, Trump, and many of his associates for the last two years were bad enough. But to not take one step back after the Mueller report gave us real conclusions is bordering on delusion.
Now, Schiff wants you to know that he’s still fighting the good fight. Also, can you spare $5?
President Trump went on Fox News and declared that Adam “should be forced out of office” because he’s holding the President accountable. Chip in $5 or more to help us fight back now.

The call to resign actually first came on Twitter, but he had to get Fox News in there for extra scare points.
This is nonsense. He’s not holding anyone accountable. He’s found nothing, he has nothing. It’s why he won’t actually point to one piece of actual evidence. Instead he flails about the Trump Tower meeting, which is objectively not “collusion.” Some may pontificate about the morality of entertaining opposition research from foreign sources, but I’m not even sure that’s a premise I’m going to grant. The two lawyers were Russians working for Fusion GPS. They did not disclose a relationship with the Russian government to Trump Jr. He simply thought he was going to get factual information about Hillary Clinton. In the end, nothing came of it and Trump Jr. did not pursue it. That’s far from the treasonous collusion that Schiff keeps promising.
Furthermore, if such is “collusion” then Schiff surely finds Hillary’s actual use of a foreign spy to mine Russian FSB sources a far worse offense right? It’s odd how he never mentions that.
As I said, all of this is politics. The only reason this is perpetuated is because we have a media complex that won’t simply approach these issues with skepticism. Schiff goes on all the major shows and never once faces a tough question on his wild claims. In the end, I think he’s going to end up looking worse and worse as more data comes out.
