Bodies are removed from at the scene of a mass shooting, Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019, in Dayton, Ohio. Several people in Ohio have been killed in the second mass shooting in the U.S. in less than 24 hours, and the suspected shooter is also deceased, police said. (AP Photo/John Minchillo)

As I covered two days ago now, the Dayton, OH shooter simply does not fit the current, rampant media narrative. That means editorial decisions are being made to focus almost solely on the El Paso shooting and white supremacy (as a note, the background of the shooter was far more complicated than is being reported) when there were two other mass shootings in the same 24 hour period that weren’t related to the latter. One was a mass shooting in Chicago, so it might as well not even exist if you are getting your news from the mainstream media.

While most of the national press are choosing to spend their time directly blaming Republicans and President Trump for the shooter in El Paso, there’s almost total silence now on the Dayton shooter, who was an avowed socialist, left-winger, satanist, and Sanders/Warren fan. He also routinely interacted with Antifa propaganda.

If any of those details were their right-wing inverses, they’d be part of the current wall-to-wall coverage we are seeing. There’s absolutely no question of that. Instead, because it doesn’t support an anti-Republican narrative, no the media have propagated a near total blackout.

I say near because CNN finally did a random act of journalism on the matter.

The most recent tweet on the @iamthespookster account was on Aug. 3, the day of the shooting, when he retweeted a post saying, “Millenials have a message for the Joe Biden generation: hurry up and die.” He also retweeted support for Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren…

…In the hours before the Dayton shooting, the account “liked” several tweets about the El Paso shooting, including one supporting gun control and others that called the El Paso shooting suspect a “terrorist,” and a “white supremacist.”

The account also retweeted posts against US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, including one that said, “These people are monsters,” as well as multiple posts condemning police, and supporting Antifa.

Andy Ngo, who was beaten to the point of having to be hospitalized by Antifa just a month ago, responded with this.

If you follow the actual link from CNN’s tweet, you aren’t even taken to an article. You are instead taken to a live text feed where there’s simply a short blurb in a stream of updates. Once more, general updates are added about the mass shootings, you’ll have to scroll down and search for any information on the Dayton shooting. In other words, if you don’t know it’s there, you’ll likely never see it. They couldn’t even be bothered to publish this information in a real article.

Also, note the time they pushed this out. It was around 10pm EST time last night. Conveniently, this happened after all the prime time shows so they didn’t have to mention it (and none of them have to date). This also put them about 28 hours after the news first broke, long after the media itself decided to mostly memory-hole the Dayton shooter. Are we to believe they just came across this information?

No, what CNN is doing here is simple. They didn’t want to be accused down the road of not covering this story, so they “covered” it by waiting over a day and pushing out a blurb late at night in a format that completely buries the story for future possible readers. You can bet your bank account that there will be no further mention of this on CNN and that the prime time shows will not discuss it tonight.

None of this is accidental. It’s purposeful.

UPDATE:

lol…

Here’s CNN’s Brian Stelter actually dragging his own network for reporting relevant, factual information about the shooter.
