Democrats Decide Getting the Orange Man Is More Important than Saving Lives

FILE – In this Nov. 2, 2017 file photo, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., flanked by Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., the ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee, left, and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., holds a news conference on Capitol Hill to respond to the Republican tax reform plan in Washington. Top Democratic leaders in Congress have abruptly pulled out of a planned meeting with President Donald Trump after he attacked them on Twitter. Trump tweeted early Tuesday that “I don’t see a deal!” with Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer and top House Democrat Nancy Pelosi. This is pretty unbelievable.

Senate Democrats filibustered a procedural vote to end debate on the phase 3 Wuhan virus relief bill on Sunday. This came after negotiations had agreed to a framework bill, one which gave Democrats almost everything they wanted.

Mitch McConnell railed against the Democrat game playing from the Senate floor.

Apparently, Nancy Pelosi, who had taken the weekend off, came back into town and blew up the process. There’s also disagreement going on within the Senate Democrat caucus about how much to work with Trump during this crisis. Some see this as the chance to tar him the way they did former President Bush after Hurricane Katrina.

These are decisions being made purely on aspirations of political gain.

In other words, Democrats value trying to win in November more than they do American lives.

Meanwhile, the talking points have already went out. Twitter is filled with trolls claiming that the Senate framework was just a giveaway to big business. Factually, it wasn’t. It extended loans to businesses that need them because that’s where the jobs people work come from. If they go under, everyone becomes unemployed. This isn’t a hard concept but leftists can never seem to grasp it.

Regardless, the bill was not just loans to corporations. It also had relief checks for Americans in it, $100 billion for hospitals, and guarantees of sick leave during the pandemic. Ironically, it’s the kind of bill Democrats would normally drool over, but they’ve decided that trying to get the orange man is more important that save lives.

This is a brazen, disgusting act by Democrats and they need to pay a price for it. The media will do their best to run cover, but people aren’t stupid. They know what’s going on here. If there’s any justice left in Washington (and there very well may not be), this partisan garbage will backfire massively.
