Yesterday, noted anti-Semite Linda Sarsour spoke at the DNC as part of the Muslim delegation. Why you’d need to break delegates down into religious groups is beyond me, but this is the left we are talking about. Sarsour is of course the Palestinian activist who has used her bigoted targeting of Jews and and the Jewish state as a catapult to stardom among the more the radical elements of the Democrat party.

The initial response was to pretend she hadn’t actually spoken at the DNC, as if by some sheer chance she just happened to make it on air. This was Joe Biden’s response.

Joe Biden has been a strong supporter of Israel and a vehement opponent of anti-Semitism his entire life, and he obviously condemns her views and opposes BDS, as does the Democratic platform,” Biden spokesman Andrew Bates said in a statement Tuesday.

“She has no role in the Biden campaign whatsoever,” he added before reiterating that the Democratic platform was against the BDS movement.

Of course, the truth is much more mundane. She was invited to speak along with dozens of other “activists” of all stripes. This allows the Democrats to placate the progressives during the day while pretending to be super-moderate at night (though Bernie Sanders blew that plan up yesterday evening).

This would be the equivalent of a white supremacist speaking at the RNC and Trump just getting to say “meh, nothing to do with me.” Would the media take that as an answer? Of course they wouldn’t. There would be outrage from all corners.

Of course, one of the more frustrating aspects of this is those who pretend to be unaware that Sarsour’s position on Jewish people and Israel is a majority position on the left and in the Democrat party. Every poll shows that. This whole thing were we ask why Sarsour was given a platform got old years ago. We know why she was given a platform, including getting to speak at the DNC this year.

Sorry, but Joe Biden doesn’t get to hand wave away what his party actually is. I don’t care how many touching spots his wife he does or how much John Kasich insists the Democrat party isn’t far-left. The most recent Gallup polled showed only 43% of Democrats sympathize with Israel in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We’ve seen upsurges in anti-Semitic actions almost exclusively from the left over the last several years, whether it be murders and assaults in New York that go unchecked or Democrat mayors targeting Jewish populations while letting BLM protesters go wild during COVID.

And while some conservatives think they can thread the needle here, getting rid of Trump while not emboldening the antisemitic elements of the Democrat party, they are playing with fire and will end up burned. These radicals do not take a day off. They do not just shrug and go home after they win an election. They only get more crazy and dangerous in their views. If that’s what some people want to feed into, I’d suggest they think a little harder about their decision.
