Across a good portion of the country, schools have re-opened successfully. This was preceded by much of the world returning to school (or never closing schools) months ago. But that hasn’t stopped the Democrat party and their media allies from continuing to push irrational fear porn in relation to children and the coronavirus.

Here’s their latest gambit, which can only be described as pure junk science.

That subcommittee is run by Democrats and was put together by Nancy Pelosi to be a one stop shop for all your irrational fear mongering needs. In reality, the study they are citing says nothing of which they claim.

As Kerpen points out, the study does not even attempt to measure transmissibility, which is the entire concern among school age children, and a concern that has so far been shown to be not backed by science. Across the world, children are back in school by the tens of millions and we’ve yet to see anymore real transmission from a student to a teacher. There was one suspected case in Israel, but needless to say, if you are having to struggle to find one single instance, it’s not an issue you keep schools closed over.

Democrats are willing to lie to you just to take cheap shots at Betsy Devos so schools can stay closed. Why? Because they know that the longer they stay closed, the less quickly the economy will rebound. Parents who can’t send their children to school can’t work, or can’t work the same amount. It’s basically like putting the economy in mud. Yeah, you can make it through, but it’s a lot faster if you remove all the impediments holding things back.

We keep hearing the term science repeated over and over, yet there’s only one party that continually ignores it and is unwilling to make basic policy evaluations. A child is more likely to die driving to school than from the coronavirus. A teacher is far more likely to get the virus from the grocery store or even their own home than while teaching at a school. We don’t need more studies on this. The entire planet is one giant study right now, with a larger sample size of kids in school than any academic could ever hope to put together.

Republican led states are doing the right thing by getting children back in school. The risks are far greater by keeping them at home, especially when talking long term impact. Meanwhile, Democrats and the media continue to play a cynical game while using kids as pawns to do it. Enough is enough.
