Biden Speech in Illinois Has a Heckler, Senility, and Wardrobe Issues

Joe Biden appeared in Illinois on Thursday to stand in solidarity with union workers, and as is to be expected when he appears in public, it was a bit of a circus.

The president played the greatest hits, making numerous false claims and repeating an oft-used line about Americans supposedly not knowing what supply chains are. According to the president, prior to his residence in the White House, supply chains were one of the great mysteries of the universe, unable to be comprehended by mere mortals.

Other notable mysteries include the process of putting on a shirt, apparently. The feebleness is just part of the package at this point. That doesn't make it any less uncomfortable to watch.

It was long into his speech before Biden was heckled by someone demanding a "ceasefire now" between Israel and Hamas.

To the crowd's credit, they booed the shrill protester, and it was well deserved. A "ceasefire" in Gaza simply means the space for Hamas to reposition and rearm. How do we know that? Because when Hamas killed over a thousand Israeli civilians on October 7th, they were breaking the last ceasefire. It's hard to fathom the level of intellectual vapidness one must possess to think there can be any lasting peace with a terrorist government like Hamas. War is deadly and tragic, but it is sometimes the only viable option less far worse outcomes continue to play out over the proceeding decades.

Speaking of decades, Biden has lived through a lot of them, and it shows every time he gets behind a podium. This speech was no different. At one point, he just started screaming at people.

Then there was this bit of projection.

Putting aside that the President of the United States almost called a room full of people "SOBs" (aren't you enjoying the norms?), I'm pretty sure it's his own memory that Biden should be worried about. Because either his memory is failing him, or he keeps telling the following falsehood over and over on purpose.

But while Biden wasn't telling the truth about wages going up (real wages are down and average household incomes are down), I was curious about what Biden meant in relation to his claim that wealth has grown by 37 percent. I certainly don't feel like my wealth has grown 37 percent, and I don't know too many others who have seen that kind of jump since the current president took office.

Enterprising as ever, I did a bit of research on that statistic, and the reality behind it is astonishing. Do you want to know why "wealth" has grown 37 percent since 2019? Because inflation has ballooned the value of previously owned assets. What does that mean practically? It means absolutely nothing because everything else is also more expensive. Yet, Biden thought that was a point to brag about.

No worries, though. His vigor makes up for his lack of honesty.

That little shuffle off the stage at the end of the clip is something. Don't worry about it, though. It's fine. It'll be fine.
