In a revelation that explains so much without even trying to, Axios has a new report out centering on Joe Biden's obsession with "Morning Joe." Led by Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, whom the former left his wife and children for, the MSNBC show has long been a platform for far-left activists who cosplay as intellectuals.

It also serves as a continual apologetic for the Biden administration, and that's likely what has earned the president's favor. The connection goes much further than mere television addiction, though. Apparently, Biden calls Scarborough directly on a regular basis and White House aides have direct lines to various panel members of the show.

According to the report, Biden even goes so far as to ask his staffers about different segments on the show. In return, those staffers preemptively prepare for his inquiries.

Between the lines: Because Biden watches "Morning Joe" so often, most of his top aides watch or track the show to anticipate potential questions from him.

Further, the president has included various guests on "Morning Joe" in "off-the-record" policy discussions. Is it any wonder the country is in the shape it's in?

I've often seen people, including ostensibly unbiased press members, speak their bewilderment about why Biden doesn't reverse course on simple, winnable issues like the border crisis. No issue is more persuasive for Republicans going into 2024, yet the president continues to double down on abject failure and chaos. It would be incredibly easy for Biden to shift gears and at least pretend he's taking the problem seriously. He won't even go that far.

His embarrassing obsession with "Morning Joe" offers us an explanation. When a person purposely puts themselves within a bubble of nothing but praise and excuses, they can convince themselves of just about anything. Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski are Biden's security blanket. They are there to whisper sweet-nothings into his ear as everything else burns around him.

Given the president's declining mental state, that's probably all it takes to get him to hold his ground on even the most losing of issues.

The irony is, of course, that "Morning Joe" appears to be leading Biden to his demise by not being honest about his presidency and pushing him to change course. The show and its hosts are going to keep convincing the president that all he has to do is sit back and stay the course until the DOJ takes down Donald Trump. That's a dangerous way to run a campaign, as a certain unlikable Democrat found out in 2016.
