An Extremely Rough Looking Joe Biden Descends Into Delusion Speaking on the Polls and Israel

Reporters met Joe Biden on the tarmac on Tuesday as he returned from another long weekend. The president was peppered with questions about his recent polling slump and a possible ceasefire between Israel and Gaza.

I'll get to his answers, which were delusional at best, but it's worth noting that he looked rough. This is not a healthy individual.

Where are the whites of his eyes? Why does his forehead look like that? Has he had work done? I don't normally comment on the appearances of politicians, but this isn't about making jokes. It's about having a president who looks like he's living day-to-day.

He also sounds like it.

The senility is on full display, but is he right? Have the press been ignoring a run of good polls for Biden? I was curious so I looked it up. According to RealClearPolitics, which keeps track of and aggregates various public polls, Trump has led Biden in seven of the last ten polls, with the latter's lead being only a single point in two of them. Nowhere can I find "five polls...five in a row" that show the current president winning.

This is a problem for Biden, and not necessarily because he's currently trailing in a head-to-head. After all, it's only March. If the White House were to go full-bore at the border crisis, by far its biggest liability, there is a scenario where Biden could rebound. Nothing is set in stone this early. The White House isn't going to do that, though, because the president and his handlers refuse to even admit they've got a problem. Instead, they continue to double down on unpopular policies and "threats to democracy."

Moving past that, Biden once again demanded a ceasefire in Gaza. In doing so, he took the bait thrown out there by Islamic fundamentalists.

One of the most insane aspects of modern conflicts is the idea that Muslims get to dictate the terms based on their religious observations. If Hamas didn't want a war to interrupt Ramadan, perhaps they shouldn't have started said war in the first place. Besides, Israel has already agreed to the terms of a six-week ceasefire agreement negotiated by third parties. It's Hamas who is refusing to accept the terms and continues to fight in Rafah.

Why is it Israel's responsibility to get aid to the people who attacked them? Why can't Egypt take on that role? Or the UN? That's not to say Israel hasn't tried, though. When aid is sent into Gaza, Hamas hijacks it or violent mobs of people end in people dying. There is no simple way to do it. If there were, the United States wouldn't be trying to airdrop MREs.

All of this is punctuated by the fact that Biden is so obviously unable to competently perform the duties of his office. He's not a steady hand in a chaotic world. He's the cause of much of the chaos. Until that changes, the pain will continue.
