A vehicle rammed into a crowd of people waiting to enter a nightclub along a busy boulevard in Los Angeles early Saturday, injuring 30 people.

Victims were transported to local hospitals and trauma centers, according to Capt. Adam Van Gerpen, public information officer for the Los Angeles City Fire Department.

At least three people were in critical condition, according to LACFD Capt. Adam Van Gerpen. Adding even more confusion to the situation, one person also suffered a gunshot wound.

Paramedics discovered that one of the patients had a gunshot wound, Van Gerpen said.

It's not currently clear if the driver of the car fled or was arrested. Videos of the scene have started to emerge, with claims of even higher totals of critically and seriously injured people. RedState cannot confirm the validity of those reports at this time, and casualty numbers in situations like this are typically very fluid.

As of this writing, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has not commented, and it is unclear if this was a purposeful attack or an accident. The report of someone having a gunshot wound would seem to suggest the former. Given how unreliable early information can be, though, we just don't know enough at this time.

This is a developing story.
