The #BlueAnon Dossier, File #2 - More Press Conspiracies From the Conspiracy-Hating Press

Maybe they complain because it steals from the impact of their own crackpot theories?

In the previous entry, I laid out how the press loudly declares its opposition to conspiracy theories while also using them as an example to scorch Republicans, conservatives, and anyone on the right. The fact is the press follows the Qanon claims as closely as anyone, and the truth is they forward conspiracies at a clip far greater than the gauzy outfit known as Q — and with far greater reach and impact.

In an effort to both beat back the falsehoods behind their claims and to expose the rampant hypocrisy in these media hysterics, this is a rundown of some of the many wild claims and asinine stories pushed out not by anonymous internet denizens but the members of the press corps and major media outlets. The first entry in this edition is a perfect example of this dichotomy.

  1. THE STAGE AT THE CPAC CONFERENCE WAS IN THE SHAPE OF A NAZI SYMBOL

While it is a lesser accusation, this one typifies the imbalanced thinking in the press. Many pundits wanted to paint the messaging at CPAC this year as being focused on Qanon theories. (As one who attended I can tell you this was not heard of, at all.) Yet as they complained about conspiracies being a central theme of the conference they uncorked this gem of a claim. Mocking conspiratorial thinking while mired in it at the very same time — that is your modern media complex, folks.

  1. RUSSIA PAID BOUNTIES TO THOSE KILLING U.S. SOLDIERS IN AFGHANISTAN

This was a supposed tale based on inside intel, and many in the press ran with it in slobbering fashion. The report was completely farcical, and the media sheepishly recanted the uncorroborated details…eventually.

  1. PRESIDENT TRUMP CANCELED A VISIT TO THE MILITARY CEREMONY IN FRANCE AND CALLED SOLDIERS WHO DIED IN BATTLE ‘’LOSERS’’.

Jeffery Goldberg pimped out this fable and promised to supply witnesses. Too bad the official record proved him completely incorrect, John Bolton refuted the whole tale, and Goldberg’s witnesses never were revealed.

  1. IN CHARLOTTESVILLE TRUMP REFERRED TO WHITE SUPREMACISTS AS ‘’FINE PEOPLE’’

It seems moronic that this is still trotted out as a fact when the actual transcript of Trump’s speech is fully available from that day. Yet, even though he said during that presser, I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and white nationalists because they should be condemned totally.” it is still falsely repeated today, including when Joe Biden invoked it during the last Presidential debate and it did not trigger a response from any of the fact-checkers.

  1. THE HUNTER BIDEN SCANDAL IS BASED ON RUSSIAN MISINFORMATION

The press essentially excused themselves from covering the damaging Hunter Biden story before the election by claiming it was a hoax perpetrated by those dastardly Russian commies. There was never anything offered up as evidence that the Russians were behind it, of course. Then there was the small matter of actual tangible evidence existing behind the Hunter story.

  1. FLORIDA’S GREAT COVID PERFORMANCE IS DUE TO RON DESANTIS FAKING THEIR NUMBERS

This stems off of a long-debunked story that a supposed whistleblower in the state offices alleging they faked the records. The truth was they only corrected some dates on a single day, and the woman has been shown to be more of an emotional mess than a reliable witness.

  1. SCOTUS NOMINEE BRETT KAVANAUGH HAD BEER ORGIES, AND WORSE, IN HIGH SCHOOL

The only thing more ridiculous than the outlandish claims of what Brett did as a teenager is that all of it was based on the testimony of one woman who could not recall the details – including what year it all supposedly happened.

  1. PRESIDENT TRUMP LEAKED CLASSIFIED INFORMATION TO THE RUSSIANS IN THE OVAL OFFICE

This gem came from the Washington Post, based on inside sources, and the media raced around with the charge. Except, H.R. McMaster came forward to declare how he was in the room that day, and said emphatically it never occurred. Then the actual scandal surrounded the officials who were leaking classified intel to the press, and the story quickly died off.

  1. VENEZUELA PROTESTS WERE DUE TO TRUMP CAMPAIGN DONATIONS

As that country was storming the streets in protest to the collapse of socialism under Maduro, MSNBC’s conspiracy blatherskite Rachel Maddow made the odd claim that the people were rioting not over the lack of services, or the need to go grocery shopping in the nation’s zoos. No, Rachel claimed what had them really upset were donations to Trump’s inaugural from Citgo Petroleum.

  1. TRUMP WOULD STEAL THE ELECTION VIA ‘BALLOT ACCESS’

The Lincoln Project never met a conspiracy they did not love, but this was an attempt by them to create one of their own. Their senior advisor claimed the biggest swing states were GOP-run sanctuaries and thus chicanery would ensue. Problem: in those states – AZ, FL, MI, NH NC MN, PA, and WI — all but Florida were states where the election boards were under the control of Democrats.

  1. UNIDENTIFIED FEDERAL AGENTS WILL BE USED AT POLLING PLACES TO DETAIN VOTERS

This comes from Paul Krugman, who already believed the hysterics over the federal agents detaining rioters in Portland who were accused of being unaffiliated contract officers. He suggested these same tactics would be used during the election, of course.

  1. POLICE IN NEW YORK WERE BEHIND EXCESSIVE FIREWORKS MEANT TO DESTABILIZE BLACK LIVES MATTER

A number of writers bought into the claim that weeks of fireworks ahead of the Fourth of July were meant to disrupt BLM protestors, and the authorities were permitting it…somehow.

  1. TRUMP HELD BACK ON REVEALING THE SEVERITY OF COVID-19 TO KEEP THE ECONOMY GOING STRONG

Now you may think, to what end? Something to do with keeping things rosy until the Senate acquitted him during impeachment, or such. This came from the febrile mind of Laurence Tribe.

  1. TRUMP WALKING DOWN A RAMP IS A SIGN OF HIS DIMINISHING HEALTH

Following his commencement address at West Point video of Trump looking somewhat unsteady as he walked down the receiving ramp had the media ablaze with speculation. Mind you, the same media had been unbothered about the time Hillary Clinton was tossed into a van like a bag of hockey equipment.

  1. TRUMP’S DOUBLE-FISTED HYDRATION TECHNIQUE IS…A PROBLEM?

In the same unclear conclusion as his ramp walk, there was plenty of time spent ruminating on the fact that the President would occasionally use 2 hands when drinking water at a podium. While the examples were frequently held up as proof, we never actually found out what it proved — BUT IT WAS IMPORTANT!!!

(This is the start of a series of pieces detailing numerous tinfoil hat theories the media have been pimping out to the public. If you have other examples, toss them in the comments section and they could be included in future installments.)
