Upcoming "March for Our Lives" Being Organized by Planned Parenthood, Everytown, and Other Leftist Orgs

If you were one of the few people who thought the March for Our Lives protest was an organic march containing concerned students that just want to see those dangerous firearms taken away from innocent people, then guess again. Behind it is a cadre of leftist causes handling everything.

And they’re not necessarily attempting to hide it, either. BuzzFeed let the cat out of the bag in a very open, “hey look at us” kind of way:

Barely two weeks ago, the student survivors sat in a circle in the living room of one of their parents’ homes, planning a trip to Tallahassee to meet with lawmakers and handling nitty-gritty matters like which media outlets to talk to.

Since then, major players and organizations — including Everytown, Giffords, Move On, Planned Parenthood, and the Women’s March LA — told BuzzFeed News they are helping the students with logistics, strategy, and planning for next month’s March for Our Lives rally and beyond. Much of the specific resources the groups are providing to the Parkland students remains unclear — as is the full list of supporting organizations — but there are broad outlines.

The groups overseeing the march read like a who’s who of left-leaning activist orgs, with each of them sporting a different contribution to the march. A spokesperson for Planned Parenthood said the group is “teaching and hosting trainings” for young activists across the US “to keep momentum going so they don’t get burned out.”

Why an organization dedicated to ending the life of children is putting up the front that they care about violence towards children is anyone’s guess.

Planned Parenthood has also been in contact with anti-gun advocate Giffords, who is working with Everytown and Moms Demand Action, two gun control organizations bent on promoting anti-gun hysterics rather than education and safety. According to Buzzfeed, these three organizations are planning the march on Washington.

Acting as their political liaison is Democratic US Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz:

Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a Broward County resident for nearly 30 years, told BuzzFeed News she has been in touch with students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas since the day after the shooting, helping them connect to state legislators and plan their trip to Tallahassee last week.

Also involved is the American Federation of Teachers, a left-wing political machine that tends to contribute millions to Democrat organizations, such as the Clinton Foundation:

The American Federation of Teachers, which helped bus students and parents to Tallahassee multiple times last week, are now assisting with the March for Our Lives rally. The federation’s president told BuzzFeed News that they are also helping support next month’s march as well as helping to shape the vision and mission for the group once the rally is over.

“There are a lot of people who know how to put on a march in Washington and we are here to help support the teens with that experience in terms of logistics and strategy but it’s still early and they have some time to figure that out,” AFT President Randi Weingarten told BuzzFeed News. “We will be here for that ‘oh shit moment’ when they realize they need things like permits.”

If the March for Our Lives was looking to unite people who are concerned about gun violence in schools, they just lost any chance for a coming together thanks to the inclusion of these activist groups.

But let’s face facts. This was never about concerned kids standing up for safety in their schools. As I mentioned before, these kids were simply a useful shield in the left’s narrative for gun control. If this was really about student’s concerns, they would also promote the message of someone like Kyle Kashuv, who has accurately identified the problem instead of attacking Republicans and Republican-friendly organizations.
