America Wins: Lindsey Graham Set to Take Over Senate Judiciary Committee

If there’s a better fit for the head of the Senate Judiciary Committee, I’m not sure who it is.

During the hearings to confirm Justice Brett Kavanaugh, few Republicans stood out like Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) did. Not only did he give the most epic rant during the proceedings that really highlighted the depravity of the power hungry Democrats who did all but physically assault an innocent man with a belt, Graham’s cool-factor really shown through, turning him into a meme.

According to The Hill, Graham is now set to take over the Senate Judiciary Committee where he made his mark:

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is poised to become the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee after Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) announced Friday that he would step down to take over the chairmanship of the Finance Committee.

The shuffle would put Graham, a close ally of President Trump who made headlines this fall with a forceful denunciation of Democrats during Brett Kavanaugh‘s Supreme Court confirmation hearings, in charge of the panel handling judicial nominations.

Graham has made it clear that he’s a no-nonsense type of guy when it comes to the confirmation proceedings. Anyone so willing to forcefully call out behavior like the kind we saw the Democrats engage in during the Kavanaugh hearings is the kind of politician we want running the show.

Rest assured, if any of the Supreme Court judges vacate the seat for any reason, you can bet there’s going to be another fight over a Trump nominee. Two justices were bad enough for the Democrats, but three will likely send them into hysterics. Graham will need to brace for impact, but judging by the way he has handled things in the past, we can have a bit of confidence.
