WATCH: Fake Reporter John Oliver and Fake Scientist Bill Nye Try to Sell You a Fake Crisis

It’s fun to pretend but in the case of climate change hysterics, the pretending actually causes endless amounts of government spending and troublesome activists. It also creates excuses for celebrities to become false prophets from a very annoying religion.

A perfect example of this is fake news personality and comedian John Oliver working with fake scientist personality and failed comedian Bill Nye to push the hysterics of climate change on Sunday. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Oliver took a segment of his show to push the panic, first by highlighting Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s “Green New Deal” as something that would solve these problems:

He then spoke about the Green New Deal, which “has been famously polarizing.” The legislation is “a non-binding resolution that very briefly sets out some extremely aggressive goals including achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions, meeting 100 percent of the country’s power demand through clean, renewable and zero-emission energy sources and creating millions of good high-wage jobs in the United States.”

The host then turned the topic of “carbon pricing, or charging companies to be able to pump carbon into the air, and calling the problem with carbon “critical.” In order to have someone explain the solution of carbon pricing better, he brought on “jail the climate deniers” Nye, who proceeded to say that if carbon costs more, people will buy less of it:

Nye once again put on his safety glasses. “When we release carbon, say by burning coal or driving an SUV, all of us pay for that in the form of things like fires, floods and crop failures,” he said as he pointed to visuals of each natural disaster. “Putting a fee on carbon creates incentives to emit less carbon and more importantly, it also incentivizes the development of low-carbon technology, which is huge because that’s vital to reducing emissions globally.”

“And because for some reason, John, you’re a 42-year-old man who needs his attention sustained with tricks, here’s some f***ing Mentos in a bottle of Diet Coke,” Nye said as he deposited a package of mints into the soda, which then exploded. “Happy now?”

At this point, Nye is more well known for his climate alarmism than being the “science guy” he used to be. A perfect example is a fact that, as NASA itself pointed out, carbon is not reaching critical levels. In fact, it’s only making the Earth greener. This is called “global greening,” and it happens as a result of carbon dioxide being more available for plants to consume.

But according to Nye, who dropped a lot of super cool and trendy F-bombs in his segment, the planet is on “f***ing fire.”

You won’t hear this talked about a lot from Nye, Oliver, or any other member of the church of climate change.

We tend to hear all the time that our carbon emissions are going to cause the world to plunge into some sort of climate chaos, and it’s always just around the corner. We’re treated to tons of graphs that show just how horrible things are going to overcome.

However, honest climate scientists continuously debunk these models. In fact, actual scientist William Happer has made it clear that climate models are typically wrong because predicting the climate beyond a few days becomes absolutely impossible.

So not only is Nye attempting to cause panic over something that’s actually growing more trees, he’s relying on data that is about as fantastical as a fairy tale.
