"The View" Gets One Right, SLAMS Liz Warren as "Unable to Face the US" After Rejecting Fox News Offer

Now here’s something I didn’t see coming.

The ladies of The View are typically a fry short of a Happy Meal with the exception of Meghan McCain, who may have one of the most stressful jobs in the country. However, the majority leftist panel that makes up the show seemed to turn on one of their own fellow leftist ladies.

As I covered on Tuesday, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D) made a very big deal out of the fact that she was offered an opportunity to do a town hall on Fox News and subsequently turned it down. The 2020 Democratic candidate not only created an entire page promoting the fact, but took to Twitter and released a series of tweets wherein she accused Fox News of a being a channel that profits from “racism and hate.”

“I won’t ask millions of Democratic primary voters to tune into an outlet that profits from racism and hate in order to see our candidates—especially when Fox will make even more money adding our valuable audience to their ratings numbers,” tweeted Warren.

Oddly enough, every single member of The View found this move by Warren to be short-sighted and agreed that she’s essentially chosen not to try to reach out to different audiences, effectively turning her back on them. They even acknowledged that Fox News was the most watched news network.

All of this was just a series jabs before the uppercut that was delivered by hostess Whoopie Goldberg.

“You know what? If you can’t face the Fox audience, you can’t face the U.S.,” said Goldberg before the bell.

I’m going to say something completely uncharacteristic, but I think the ladies make a very good point. I had previously chalked Warren’s rejection of the offer from Fox News as cowardice. I think I still may be right, but now only partly. Warren is attempting to do what every 2020 candidate with the exception of Biden is trying to do right now, and that’s win the approval of the Ocasio-Cortez wing of the Democratic party.

For many of the hard left, there is no colluding with the enemy in any way, and they’ve been absolutely programmed to believe that Fox News is the enemy’s media hub. It’s likely that Warren saw the left’s negative reaction when Sen. Bernie Sanders appeared on Fox News, and figured that if she truly wants to win them over, she must put forth the attitude of being an anti-right purist.

So, instead of accepting the offer, Warren bit the hand she was offered to shake and made a huge show of it.

However, I think the ladies of The View are correct. If Warren can’t speak to a Fox News audience in good faith, then she’s essentially ruled herself out as a leader of America. That audience is the largest in volume and contains the largest diversity of political opinions. She could engage with them and if not win some to her side — admittedly, she’d probably convince very few — then at least garner a little more respect from those who could at least admire her willingness to step into the ring.

Once again, Warren shot herself square in the foot.
