Failed Senate candidate and future failed 2020 presidential candidate Robert “Beto” O’Rourke has weighed in on the Nike controversy surrounding its decisions to pull its shoe adorned with a Betsy Ross flag and, of course, has decided to side with Nike because the social justice sect of the Democrat religion has labeled it a sin.

According to tweets posted by Ben Jacobs, O’Rourke considers it “important to take into account the impression that kind of symbol would have for our fellow Americans,” and that he respects Nike’s decisions and is “grateful for the conversation” that it’s provoking.

He also added that the Betsy Ross flag has been “appropriated” by white nationalist groups.

In other words, the SJWs said “jump,” and O’Rourke asked “which cliff?”

The appointed cliff was to erase our history because the loudest of the outrage mob have declared the flag in cahoots with racism and slavery. A lot of things could be tied with slavery, yet I don’t see many in the mob tearing off cotton based clothing. This is more useless anger directed at something that doesn’t deserve the ire, and an obedient politician doing what’s necessary to stay in the good graces of a group of people who are rejecting him anyway.

O’Rourke is doing so badly in the Democratic race right now that the chances of him winning the primary are about as good as this Irish blooded politician actually being considered Hispanic as his nickname implies.

If anything, O’Rourke just demonstrated that he, like Nike, is a coward. He’s obedient to a fault.

In the meantime, some companies are tossing out attitudes like O’Rourke’s and asking others to show pride in the flag. One company called “Out of Line” has created a Betsy Ross flag themed shoe in an effort to look at the flag in a more positive light, and recognize an accomplishment of a woman in a time with when accomplishing things was far more difficult.

This woman’s clothing company is showing far more bravery than a major corporation or a nationally known politician.
