Oh, Look! It's Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib of "The Squad" Telling People They Should be Deported

Remember when we were told it was racist and xenophobic to suggest people should go back to where they came from? Remember when the media was rending its garments and gnashing its teeth over chants of “send her back” at Trump rallies and tweets from the president about “The Squad” fixing the problems in their countries of origin?

Well, it would appear that “The Squad’s” outrage is highly selective, especially when it comes to them telling people they should be deported.

Internet detectives have reached back over the years and found times when the likes of Rep. Ilhan Omar, who is central to the controversy, was telling people to do the same thing she is outraged with Trump for supposedly doing.

Here is Rep. Rashida Tlaib doing the same to Trump.

The running narrative right now is that Trump is a giant racist because of a set of tweets that encouraged the women of “The Squad” to back to their countries of origin and fix the problems that are plaguing those countries. Problems that “The Squad” claims are infesting the United States. He then encouraged them to come back after they’ve done this and show us in the United States how to do it.

The left typically leaves that last part out, mostly because that overlooked message in the tweets ruins the narrative. In truth, the tweets weren’t racist, as I explain here.

The other claim is that Trump is racist because his supporters chanted “send her back” in relation to Omar. Even so, Trump said he disagreed with the chant.

Thing is, even Trump’s tweets didn’t measure out to the tweets actually sent by Omar and Tlaib. Both of these ladies suggested that the people they were targeting be deported. Trump was suggesting they leave then come back.

If Trump is to be considered racist, then Omar and Tlaib must as well. If we’re playing by the left’s rules, what Omar and Tlaib did was far worse.
