While the media, activists, and politicians may have gone into overdrive when it came to highlighting deaths by things like firearms and white supremacy in 2019, the real king of the killers was the abortion industry and not by a small margin either.

According to LifeNews.com, the number of babies aborted last year was a shocking 42.3 million, outnumbering the other top causes of death combined:

A heartbreaking reminder about the prevalence of abortion, statistics compiled by Worldometers indicate that there were over 42.3 million abortions world-wide in 2019. The independent site collects data from governments and other reputable organizations and then reports the data, along with estimates and projections, based on those numbers.

When contrasting the abortion numbers to other causes of death, including cancer, HIV/AIDS, traffic accidents and suicide, abortions far outnumbered every other cause.

By contrast, 8.2 million people died from cancer in 2019, 5 million from smoking, 13 million from disease, and 1.7 million died of HIV/AIDS. Deaths by malaria and alcohol are also recorded.

This may be a tough number to wrap one’s head around, as every single one of those is a human life lost. It’s even tougher to wrap your head around the idea that this was the life of an innocent child taken with the consent of the mother, and possibly even the father.

It’s also sobering to think that the amount of death outweighs almost every major war with the exception of World War 2 at 69 million. Many of the deaths in these wars couldn’t match up to the 2019 abortions deaths combined.

LifeNews states that an estimated 61 million abortions of unborn children have taken place in the United States since Roe v. Wade went into action.

In 2017, on its 101st birthday, Planned Parenthood has confirmed 7 million deaths just on its own since its inception.

This is an atrocity of unbelievable proportions and one that sadly, in our culture, goes completely unreported and unspoken of. In various ways, it goes almost celebrated by our mainstream media.
