Democrats think you’re stupid and former VP Joe Biden is no different.

As first pointed out by the Catholic News Agency, Biden released an ad in February talking about how important his faith is to him.

“Personally for me, faith, it’s all about hope and purpose and strength, and for me, my religion is just an enormous sense of solace,” he said in the ad.

“I go to Mass and I say the rosary. I find it to be incredibly comforting,” Biden added.

Yet, during last night’s debate against Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, Biden’s faith as a Catholic didn’t seem to be a factor in his stances as he bragged about his rating from NARAL, as well as his reaffirmation that abortions should be a taxpayer-funded venture.

Sanders began the virtue signaling with his claim that “a woman’s right to control her own body is under massive assault, unprecedented assault” and tried confronting Biden on the fact that he voted for the Hyde Amendment, which stops people from using Medicaid funding for abortion.

Biden said his views do not align with the Hyde Amendment, and that he’s reversed his views on it in recent years because “if we’re going to have public funding for all healthcare along the line, there is no way you could allow for there to be a requirement that you have Hyde Amendment.”

As the CNA also reported, Biden bragged about his NARAL rating and promised to strengthen Roe v. Wade:

On Sunday, Biden also promised, if elected president, to cement abortion rights in federal law to protect them against future decisions by the Supreme Court. The 77-year-old candidate said he would “send immediately to the desk of the United States Congress (…), a codification of Roe v Wade amended by Casey. Because I think it is a woman’s right to choose. I think it’s a woman’s opportunity to be able to make that decision.”

Biden then boasted about his 100% voter-rating from NARAL, an abortion-rights organization.

Biden was not asked to square his Christian views with his support for abortion, though he should be. The killing of babies goes directly against the teaching of the Bible.

Furthermore, how Biden or Sanders could consider abortion “healthcare” has been lost on many. Seeing as how this is a completely elective procedure in the vast majority of cases, it seems using the term “healthcare” to describe it is abusing the term. No one would consider a breast augmentation or collagen injections as “healthcare” as, like abortion, neither one of them is necessary to the health of the patient. In fact, seeing as how a person dies during an abortion, it shouldn’t be considered along the lines of “health” at all.
